Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It really depends on the two people involved, their maturity level, and how committed they really are to each other. The younger your are, the harder it will be because harmones and testosterone are raging, and there are lots of people where you both are trying to take your attention.

Long distance relationships are among the trickiest and hardest relationships to maintain. Usually, they only end up in heartache for both parties involved. However, there have been a number of cases where long distance had no effect on the relationship. It truly can work out only if both people are honest, communicative, committed, understanding, and willing to put in a little extra effort to make it work. The rewards of maintaining a successful LDR can be even greater than those of people who maintain a regular relationship. Whether or not it works out really does depend on the people involved.

Long distance relationships seldom work out, but they're not impossible. Communication is the key, but it can be very expensive. You will both need to be honest with each other and decide what is in the best interest for each other. You don't want is to be committed to him and find out he's been dating or sleeping with other girls. So think hard, be patient. Good luck with your decision........

It really depends on how big the love is. I was in one for a whole year and it was fantastic- its a great test for a relationship , and if it works out well , its totally meant to be and that couple can go through anything. It's what you make it to be, along with the presence of trust, loyalty, honesty and fairness. good luck!
