I've heard women say they like this or that about a guy, but when it comes down to it, would women rather have the taller guy?

No. Short guys are at a disadvantage when it comes to dating because women generally want a taller man and men generally want a shorter woman. If you are not preferential about the height of your partner, then it's an opportunity for you to impress a woman with your charm and wit. It's been my experience that women generally would rather be with a man that treats them right and makes them happy, regardless of his size.

I think a lot of women do, and for awhile I was a little bitter about it, and even now have a little trouble with it. But to a degree I understand. It's not as much a 'preference' that taller men are better, but sort of a feeling of protection and being taken care of. Some women like to be totally enveloped by their man.
However, I don't believe us short guys are totally out of the picture. There are some girls that don't care that much, and there are some real cute short girls out there that are okay with short guys, too!
Ah, I noticed someone brought up a good subject. Confidence! I think taller guys have the edge this way, and/or girls feel that they do, anyway.

Alot of women don't like to be with a guy that they are taller then for some reason because guys don't really care. But there are enough petite women out there for all of the short in stature guys in the world. Look at china for instance :)

No, short guys need to be confident and secure on who they are. Women say they want this and that. But what it comes down to, is that they want a man who will treat them right, feel secure, and money.

No not necessarily. Most girls like a guy who is taller than she is but that doesn't mean that between two guys she will prefer the taller one.

No, Short guys are great. The problem is that they are so paranoid about being short it reflects in their personality. I rather have a short guy with good self esteem than a tall guy who thinks he is perfect and has nothing to worry about.

well yes tall guys are attractive, but really if a woman is genuine personality matters most. i've also heard that shorter men are better in bed to make up for their "shortcomings". so don't give up the right one's out there for you.

well I am short, so it would be nice. I don't know any short guys cuz most are 6'0 to 6'2 usually. That tends to be who I like. Height to me doesn't matter, I dunno how tall he is exactly, I mean I wish I was taller or he was shorter maybe but I love him.

No- people shouldn't use physical traits to explain why love hasn't worked out for them yet. I have a friend who doesn't understand why all the fat girls in her neighbor have found love and she hasn't. If we go by her logic, then because she is skinny she should have love and they shouldn't. I love her, but how dumb is that.
