The quickest is to start eating a lot of salads and veggies and soups. Drink LOTS of water.
Dont' eat red meat, breads, starches, pastas, sodas, or sugars.
In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits have natural sugars that can add weight over time).
Practice portion control. You'll feel hungry at first, but every day you get more and more used to it until you are become full on the smaller portions. Everytime you feel hungry, if you've already eaten, drink water.
Exercise at least an hour a day doing both cardio and weight training. Weight training builds muscle, muscle builds fat. If you don't want big muscles like men, use lighter weights and do more repetitions.
Good Luck!

Well you probably know that exercise keeps the body fit... And drinking water helps you lose weight as well... So your thinking about taking a few different steps in order to do this...But here are some things that can help:
*Do not drink ANY sodas! Not even diet sodas! The amount of sodium that goes into your body can make you gain weight...
(save the diet drinks until you've reached 120 pounds, that way you can balance your weight much better)
*Drink water, milk, juice, tea, etc. Instead of soda or soft drink.
*Excersise on a daily basis...
*Try to look at the amount of fat on labels, try not to go over anything that has 10 g of fat or more... (or at least how much you think is a lot)
*And lastly, try to stay fit, and you can even try weight watchers, because i know that it works!

Include two fruits or vegetables in every meal or snack. You'll feel fuller and cut back on calories from other foods.
Eat breakfast. You'll be less likely to overeat later in the day.
Snack every 4 hours (try oranges, apples, pretzels, string cheese).
Eat at regular intervals.
Know your portions:
1/2 cup of rice is the size of your fist, an ounce of cheese is a large marble;
a 3-ounce serving of meat is a deck of cards.
Divide your plate: 3/4 with vegetables, grains, beans and fruit; 1/4 with extra-lean meat or low-fat dairy products.
Make room for cravings.
Have a cookie now and then; just drop something else that day.
Drink water -- a glass every one to two hours will keep you full.
Eat slowly.
Cut 100 calories a day (replace that candy bar with an orange and banana) and lose a pound a month.
Buy pre-cut fruit and veggies: You'll be more likely to munch on them for a snack or make a salad for dinner.
Go for the less processed food (potato versus chips, whole-wheat bread over doughnuts.)
Don't eat on automatic pilot (i.e. tasting while cooking, noshing from the serving bowl.)
Limit alcohol to special occasions. Not only is it highly caloric; it also stimulates appetite and obliterates willpower.
Brush your teeth after eating.
Eat beans: add a handful to salads and soups to curb hunger pangs longer.
Sweeten with spice. Add spices like cinnamon and vanilla to desserts versus sugar.
Try a new food each day. The flavor will save you from dietary boredom (add mangos to a chicken dish, jalapeno relish to your sandwich, winter pears to salad.)
Go spicy. Get a hot flavor boost with chilies, salsa and curry instead of by overeating.
Don't even open the menu. Resist temptation by just ordering the steamed veggies or something else low-fat like a grilled chicken salad or a soup and salad combo.
Try an herbal supplement to help curb your appetite and give you more energy.

too fast is bad.
Gradual life changes are the way to go. practice makes permanent.
Especailly because of your age, be very careful, and consult with a doctor too.
the white food theory has some ligtimacy but thats because bread rice are carbs....
your body will react like a chemstry lab when exposed to sugars in carbs. it sounds alittle like the low carb diet craze.
Your brain and body need carbs not the removal of them.
I can tell you that out of all the commerical diets the south beach one sounds the most reasonable.
if you can afford it the Nutrisystem will control your daily calorie intake for you. that works as well.
http://www.nutrisystem.com/
but of course.....exercise for 20min a day or try pilaties....slow and steady of course...

If you really know what type of foods you should eat for weight loss there are certain foods that are beneficial and certain you should avoid.
Drink sufficient pure water -- your weight divided by 2 = ounces per day. Take fluids between meals, using reverse osmosis purified water, unsweetened juices, and herbal beverages. Try liquid chlorophyll in pure water, it is delicious and refreshing!
*A minimum of 50% of your food should be alive -- fresh, raw, unprocessed. Dead food cannot build strong bodies. Eat foods in season and foods that can spoil. (But eat them before they spoil, of course!)More is preferable!
*Eliminate foods used in a microwave. Try to eliminate using the microwave for anything you eat or drink.
*Eliminate processed sugars and white flour and any foods that contains these; i.e., read labels.
Substitute whole grain foods for white -- stone ground whole wheat, brown rice, etc.
*Avoid all stimulants. They are very hard on the adrenal glands. (Coffee, cigarettes, chocolate, cola drinks, alcohol, aspirin, black tea -- herbal tea acceptable.)
There is plenty more. Check the source for the complete list.
