what are some really simple recipe ideas... preferable a hot, comfort food type of dish

I don't know of any recipes that don't contain any food!
However, http://allrecipe.com has a very handy "ingrediant search" (if you scroll down about halfway) where you can type in what's available to you and it will give your recipes utilizing those ingrediants.

finely chop some mushrooms and finely chop some bacon. Throw them in a pan with some soya sauce a wee touch of worchester sauce and a knob of butter. while frying this in a pan get some garlic bread slices and grill on one side. Then spread your bacon and mushroom mixture on the other side sprinkle on some grated cheese and a wee slice of tomato if you like and then pop back under the grill untill the cheese has melted. Mmmmm delicious....

u could make bacon pasta... make spaghetti noodles and bacon with onions garlic and shredded cheese make it in a big pot its really good

Mac and cheese... really simple and probably not as good as the real stuff.. but boil the pasta which ever kind then find some cheese she has... i dunno good luck.
