1 John 5:13, "These things I have written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life."
You know if you are saved by the things written in God's word.
1 Jihn 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
You know if you are saved by knowing where you are walking.
If we walk in the light, we have fellowship and cleansing.
The word "if" however implies there is another option.
If we stop walking in the light (the light of God's word or "these things written"), we step out of fellowship with other believers (and with God) and we step away from the cleansing blood of Christ.
So again, we know if we are saved by a study of the scriptures and by knowing where we are walking in relation to what the scriptures say.

Only the true followers of Christ have a guarnteed spot in Heaven. Now how do you know you are a TRUE follower of Christ in his eyes? I'm not really sure, I guess it is mostly that you accept that he is OUR Lord and Saviour and you do the best you can. Christ warned us that we will be surprised of which side we are on when the end comes. Some who thought they will be in heaven won't, and some you were sure wouldn't be WILL. So stop worrying about it, that is a sign you aren't destined to a sure spot. You will be Judged and if you are deemed worthy you will get in Heaven. Just live as you are supposed to, it's all you really can do.

If you have a relationship with God,and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again and now sits at the right hand of God. Then you know that you know there is a heaven and Jesus told us that he was going to prepare a place for us in his father's house. Please take the time to read John 14:1-6

Going to heaven has NOTHING to do with doing good things and confidence, its completely based on faith. Based on the truths of the Bible, every human being is a sinner, and disobeys God whenever he/she does anything wrong, whether a "white lie" or murder.
Luke 18:19 "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God."
Romans 3:12 "They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. "
Because God is perfect and sinless, he cannot have sin in his heaven, and therefore the only way we can get to heaven is if we have no sin. This of course is not possible, but we are justified by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. He took the punishment of all of our sin— past, present, and future. If we acknowledge our guilt and acknowledge that we are sinners, and then trust that God will allow you into heaven because Jesus Christ has already suffered the due punishment for our sin, then we are guranteed a home in heaven after we die.
Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

I have a better question where does the word of God say we go to heaven when the word actually says Gods kingdom will come to earth.
Re 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

I know I'll go to heaven, because I'm trying my best to do what I believe to be right. Also, because of my faith, I know that heaven is waiting for all those who try to be good people.

Because I believe all who ask for forgiveness with a open heart will go to heaven.
I do not commit sins with intent to hurt anyone. I also Believe we create our own Hell right here on Earth.

Because God is faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9, 10:13).
His Word says that "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16). Further, it says, "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life" (Revelation 2:10).
I have done my part, by believing and being baptized, and continuing to live faithfully. I know that He will do His.

Depends.
If you believe the Bible, then only if you're a man who hasn't been defiled by a woman.
If you don't, then if you believe in Jesus, the Lord, heaven, and if you're a good person.
But if God really exists, only He knows.
