Why do you feel the need to control him? Maybe you should let him be himself, but be there to guide him towards good positve choices rather than the negative troublesome choices he's making.

You can't CONTROL anyone, unless they let you, and apparently he's not going to let you. Get yourself a big supply of paitence and love, then guide him to the good.

Your brother is troublesome because he is asking for attention. You have to take control of a situation when he is being bad or naughty. Your approach should be to keep him busy and focused on something else. Do not try to parent him but be on his level, play with him when you get the chance and he will have the respect to listen to you when you have problems.

depends on how old he is. and what exactly do you mean by troublesome? Into bad trouble or has alot of troubles?

It's presumptuous for you to feel that you are the one who needs to control him. That would be your parents job to a point. Back off, and let him get himself in trouble.
