I've been using Photoshop since version 3.0, and it's the first thing I will upgrade as new versions come out. I have a background in graphic and Web design, and it's rare that a day goes by when I don't use this program. Once you really learn it, you will be amazed by all it can do and all YOU can do with it. I have used it for designing everything you can imagine.

Basically, I think the program is well worth getting, regardless of Mac or PC. However, it all depends on what you want to do with it. It isn't cheap, and it isn't the easiest program to learn and use. Even after years of use, I still got a lot of benefit from a Photoshop World training I attended recently.

If you want to edit or correct images/photos, create designs and cool stuff, have some fun, etc., then you'll really enjoy Photoshop. There are many great [and, in some cases, free] filters you can get to enhance the program, too. In summary, if you've got the money and the time to learn it and have the need for it, then I definitely say get it!
