The answer to that question is YES.
We will fulfill the purpose God put us on the planet and it will be by our own choice. God won't interfere with the details of our lives, but eventually we will fulfill our purposes. He speaks to us in various ways directing us to a certain path and if we follow that path, we will get to our fate/destiny of fulfill his will sooner. If we don't follow the path he speaks to us, then it will just take us longer to get where we are destined to be (and generally the road is much more difficult).
Read the Bible...and follow Moses story or Davids story or Isaacs story of their times in the Wilderness.

well if god knows what ur going 2 do before u were even born the its not possible 4 u 2 decide ur own fate cause god did it 4 u before u were even born. it defeats the purpose of free will. some people believe in both but u cant. one will defeat the other

The purpose is to be part of the family of God at the return of Christ.
But you do decide your on fate, its called freedom of choice.

Christianity believes that we are born to achieve a goal (s) but God gives us free will to accomplish or fail to, because we are essentially sinners and the purpose of our goal is not revealed to us. Hence our lifetime to try and do what is best for us and others.
Personally i feel that God does indeed give us free will and that we all here for a reason. It dioesn't have to be drastic either, simply respect ourselves, others, be generous in our thoughts and deeds.

A little of both.
I believe he hopes all humans will at least attempt to aspire to greater purposes other than their own personal gain and at the same time He allows us free will to make our own choices....just as any parent must.
Remember, he's our Father in Heaven...now you know why that's said.

While God doesn't take away a person's free will, He did put us here for a purpose.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

i'd have to say it's for a purpose. whether god put us in these bodies or we did or both, it doesn't make much sense to want to incarnate into this world the way it is. so to my mind there must be a purpose.
