They never existed. Get a clue. Talking snakes ? If Eve came from Adams rib, they would share the same DNA. Then would'nt she be more of a sister to him ? Go to the library and check out a book on world religions, you may learn a thing or two...

personally and im not entirely sure of catholicisms stance on this, but i think the story of adam and eve is an allegory, just a story with the message.
original sin isnt eating an apple, its that people will do their own thing instead of listening to God, which causes all the pain, 'the brunt of what adam and eve did' as u put it.

We don't. We are responsible for our own sins and not for Adam transgressions we have our own transgressions we must ask forgiveness for.
.Adam and Eve sin was only disobedience eating a piece of fruit.Which they were cast out of the garden and that they lied Then they tried to blame every one else first Adam blaming Eve and Eve blaming the serpent when caught by God.
Punishment for there sin was getting cast out of the garden. Before this they did not have the knowledge to keep gods first commandment which was to procreate.as they were innocents.
they were then able to procreate and have children.
We make our own sin and that's what were responsible for.

The Lord told Adam and Eve that the day they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge they would surely die. Though they did not perish physically, they did die spiritually. They were then removed from the garden so that they could not eat of the tree of life and live forever in their fallen condition.
Because they were both condemned to live in a broken world out side of the Garden of Eden and to spiritual death, any descendants they bore would inherit the consequences of their disobedience.
That's why Jesus came into the picture. His death was meant to restore us to spiritual life and to a right relationship with the Lord ...and give us eternal life. Though God says we will not be removed from the present condition of the world, through the acceptance of salvation, we will be more than over comers of any problems life throws our way through Christ Jesus.

The Bible does not teach that we inherit the sin of Adam and Eve; rather, it specifically says that a man will be punished for his own sin, and not for his fathers (Ezekiel 18:20).
The doctrine of "original sin" comes from taking passages of poetry, using figurative and flowery language, and forming a doctrine from that (Psalm 51:5), and ignoring clear statements such as Ezekiel 18:20.

In the beginning of course as it says in the Bible. God put Adam and Eve in the garden of paradise, he told them not to eat of the fruit of the tree of evil which was Satan's way of putting us into sinning. If you read in Genesis you will see that they did as they were told not to do, its just like life God gives us the right to make choices right ones and wrongs ones, if we make the right oned we are blessed, if we make the wrong ones we pay for it, just as Adam and Eve. I hope this helps and God bless you. Pray about it and believe in what you pray and God will give you the answer. he does not always give us the answers sometimes right away, because he wants to make sure that we believe and have faith in what we ask.

Adam as covenent head represented all that were in him (his future posterity). Adams sin is imputed to all born of Adam by ordinary generation.
The consequence of sin is death (spiritual).
All born of Adam are born spiritually dead.
Hence all need regeneration (to be born again).
Only some are brought from death to life in Christ.
Good question.
