It's because they were told as children they'd be eternally tortured if they dare think a different way. It's abuse and mind control at its finest.

I think so many people are sick of the garbage talk about evolution!!
I think we've all had this subject up to our necks!
The only reason I am answering it is because I have scientifically disproved it!
I believe most of us deep down know it's just an "adult fairy tale"!!
The reason most people, anywhere, don't believe evolution is because sensible reason and the Spirit of God tell them evolution is false.
The result is therefore detrimental for genuine science!!!
If scientists keep putting their names and field to the rubbish that is evolution [no real proof of this fable] people will continue to lose respect for science!!

because evolution is just bull. Pentecostal Christians like myself, we don't believe in evolution. we believe in what the bible says.

I am a christian and I believe in creationism. Yes I beleive in sciences too, but God is who created the earth INCLUDING SCIENCE!!!!!!! Science is there but God created it. He created it all for a reason. He uses science to create us....and yes he created everyone for a reason.

Because it was founded on puritanical ideals and has yet to outgrow it. Give us another hundred years or so.
