I have chosen to be a Christian for several reasons:
1. Because atheism is illogical. Science admits that the universe (i.e., matter) has not always existed. If there were nothing beyond the universe, then nothing ever would exist. The universe exists, therefore it must have come from somewhere.
2. Because Islam is wrong. Muhammad claimed to have climbed a huge staircase into the seven heavens, and he saw the stars hanging from the roof of the sky by silver chains. Further, he claimed that this was not a vision, but literal truth.
3. Because the Bible is correct. Despite the charges of so many, there are no contradictions in the Bible. Archeology continues to confirm its accuracy. (If somebody is going to argue this, don't just say I'm wrong; prove it).
4. Because every other religious group (to my knowledge) adds to or takes away from the Bible. I do not accept many of those who call themselves Christians as being such, because they follow the creedbook and cathechisms of men, rather than the Bible.
I could go on - I haven't even touched on the rewards offered to the faithful. This should be more than enough to make the point.

Just in case its all reallly true? Christianity has been around so many years. People have had religious experiences time and time again. Some of their stories are truly awesome. There must be some supernatural truth about Christianity. I'm on the Christian band wagon. Perhaps you should get on it too!
All the best,
Fay

You had a choice to ask this question. seems wierd to me that you would want to know the answer. You did it anyway. just because it seems weird to you does not mean it is a bad choice.

Real Christian did not chose to be Believer, God chose Him for glory. Did you chose to be born? Neither does Christian.
Joh 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
Joh 13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
Deu 14:2 For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

they "don't" have a choice, they grew up indoctrinated
those who breaks through the brainwashing and makes their own choice, whether to stay in or leave deserves a thumbs up for an act of free will and self-awareness
