I had the same problem and I have been using this shampoo ... https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/arbonnepuertorico.nsf/p1/1?OpenDocument&shoppingcart=1 because it enhance hair’s shine and manageability with a light, super-hydrating shampoo that adjusts to the daily, changing needs of all hair types because it contains a new technology called nonospheres, which delivers exactly what your hair and scalp needs. In our case, what it does is that it delivers oily ingredients for our scalp and delivers ingredients for our hair which tends to be dry. And their conditioner which does the same, with the same technology .... a light, ultra-beneficial conditioning formula that gets to the root of dryness to condition both hair and scalp for beautiful, healthy results. I also use a hair protectan when I am exposed to the sun which aslo helps me get it detangled ... works just great....... https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/arbonnepuertorico.nsf/p1/1?OpenDocument&shoppingcart=1

use a good shampoo for oily hair. But use a deep conditioner for dry hair..AVOID GETTING CONDITIONER ON OR NEAR THE SCALP. Leave on 2 or 3 minutes. Also be careful about using styling products that contain alcohol or SD40. Also brush your hair regularly... the oil on the scalp is distributed through towards the ends of the hair and will help it not to be so dry. The longer your hair is the more care your ends need.

Use a normal condition shampoo, but then use a really rich conditioner on the ends. I use Pantene for frizzy hair, but there are many good products that are easily accessible.
However, to truly alleviate the dry ends problem, get a good trim. Half an inch is usually sufficient, but an inch at the most. This will make all the difference.

The shampoo is not the answer.
A natural boar bristle brush to brush the oil from the scalp to the ends is your best answer.
Be sure the brush is natural boar bristle so the oil with not stick to the brush.
Your hair will be silky and your scalp will not be as oily.
Daily, usually before bedtime and if by morning it is oily again, then do it in the morning.
Sometimes the stimulation will make the oil production be aggressive, so you will have to determine how often. Oil is good for the hair.

Just use normal shampoo and conditioner but they say... only use shampoo on your scalp to get rid of the oils and try to use the conditioner on the ends of the hair. I know it's kind of hard to draw the line but ever since I've read that in the magazine I do that and I think my hair looks more healthy.

well I would use a shampoo for oily scalp...not sure which kind, but use conditioner on your ends and hair ONLY. you could apply it to your ends and hair and leave in a shower cap for 15-30 mins and then rinse. also try not to blow dry hair too often. and avoid styling products on your scalp that can make it extra oily.

You should try a shampoo for oily hair, but......as for the ends being dry you see a beautician and have them trim off the dead ends of the hair. Then you will be just like new and fresh!!
