It sounds like you are seeking external confirmation on your own personal beliefs and path. Your own religious and spiritual path is for you to walk only and only you can decide what feels right and best for you in your heart and Soul.
There is truly no wrong way, path towards God. Religions are all these different rivers that lead to the same ocean. You know sometimes people like to take only one route, some like to take two different or more routes changing places in between. It is all a matter of individual choice.
I practice Hinduism, but I also believe in Native American philosphies, Eastern philosophies, and I also believe in the teachings of Jesus. It just means that I am a very spiritual person knowing that Truth is found everywhere.
God does not require us to practice a religion in order to have a relationship with God. God did not create religion, us humans did. So don't worry about what philosphies and/or religions you enjoy learning and applying to yourself.

Hinduism is the only religion that can really stand behind the word Plurality. There can be some social description generalizing Hinduism yet often it will be mixed with cultural traits.
This said. The Shaivite teachings of Hinduism is very much in line with the Mystical teachings of Christians.
For exemple: You take the philosophical system of Kashmir Shaivism and you read the teaching of St-John of the Cross and there will be soooo much to support each others aspiration for the highest Reality.
Buddhism has never destroyed a culture and always simply fit in adding to the cultural realities it was brought into. In fact, In Tibetan Buddhism, the animist branch called Bun is not based on Buddhist principle and yet, has been officialized as part of Tibetan Buddhist Heritage by the Dalai Lama....
There are sooo many Monks from Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism who are able to share, contribute and enriched each others own personal faiths...
Somehow I would not be surprise that the Future will unfold a more Mystical aspect of spirituality and it will have a Shivaite Catholico slant to it !

For the most part, a person can be a Christian Buddhist because Buddha never claimed personal divinity and many of his teachings are in accord with biblical precepts. However, Hinduism teaches things like many gods and the doctrine of reincarnation which run counter to the teachings found in the Bible. So there is no such thing as a "Christian" Hindu.

I would say yes. Any tool, be it another religion, meditation, reading...that helps one come out of the dreaming thought life into the Present where God IS, is good for you. God said He is the God of the living, not the dead. Most people live in their mind, instead of in the Spirit...planning, imagining, remembering...and miss their life, now. They project their thoughts, angers, disappointments onto what is happening right now, and miss God and the opportunities He is showing. They create a false life that keeps them captive...instead of the freedom that Christ brings. To learn to live in the Moment with God, surrendering everything else to His keeping is a Relationship worth pursuing. It is the Adventure of a lifetime and a foretaste of eternity.

well.... buddhism is a religion complete with its rituals and rules
but you can just check out the teachings though
it's a quest for personal enlightenment
if you are only interested in a philosophy to complement your spirtuality, try learning zen
it's like buddhism, without the religion

No, they are actual religions that millions and millions of people follow. Geez, do you live under a rock? But just because you are Christian doesn't mean you can't go and educate yourself on other religions. Try looking those up on Wikipedia.

I don't know a lot about Hinduism, but I do know that Buddha was looking for the exact thing Jesus gave us, he just never fully found it. Which is pretty sad. :( But the good news is, Jesus came to earth to bring us all Salvation...If we accept it.
