No there are no truths that are "better" than others. There are only better contexts in which to present truth so that true understanding will result from the imparting of a particular truth.
For instance if someone says that God is love, that's true. If they say that in the context of justifying sinful behavior then they have perverted that truth.

Truth is absolute.
With science we can learn more about the Truth, but we can't ever really know the Truth.

One truth may be liked more than another, but a truth is a truth. There are no gradations of truths.

I believe that discerning the Truth is the key. We all want to believe our own truths as true. "To Thine Own Self Be True." Seeking Truth constantly enables one to grow and mature. We give up our childish ways for one of wisdom.

Truth is universal. If it's true in America; it's true in Africa. Otherwise, it's not truth.
People value what is important to them. So, one person's truth to them is as important as another person's truth.
But, having said that...all truth is excellent.
The key is to know what IS truth.
