what kind of motivation do you need when it comes to asking girls out? cause there's this guy who i know likes me, but is too afraid to make the first move...

The best motivation is for the girl to ask me out.I think i'm in the same boat as the guy you're talking about.Sorry dear,we get scared of getting our hearts broken too...

Well, I don't need any motivation, but I'm probably older than this guy. This day & age, I would say go ahead & make the first move. Also, you could always play up to his strengths by asking his help with a task. If he's smart, ask him for help studying. If he's a good athlete, ask him to help you with a sport. Use your imagination & open the lines of communication.

Either u ask him or just give it time. I waited a really long time before asking my gf out. We've been friends 4 like 6 years but I wanted 2 make sure she'd say yes before asking her out cause I didn't want 2 ruin our friendship. (I finally did ask her out by the way and now we're bf/gf)

I'd agree that you could ask him out, but perhaps the first occasion should be more of a group event like a bunch of friends going to the movies. He might feel more comfortable that way.

He needs to be ABSOLUTELY certain that you like him if he is a little nervous. You could even tell him and you'll get an idea of what guys go through all their lives.
