Why does converted Peter say "grow in grace" in connection with his mention of all Paul's epistles?

Peter is quietly acknowledging that Paul never knew Jesus. The only conversations Paul had with Jesus and his "authority" was in Paul's own head. So although Paul was making stuff up as he pretends to speak for Jesus, Peter didn't disagree with Paul's actions or words. It's crazy but, you get the same sense reading the works of the Apostolic fathers (writers of the early church). No-one seems to care and they accept what Paul says, just as if Jesus had said it.

In this 2 Epistle Peter is telling them how to deal with false teachers and evildoers that have come into the church.
Peter is telling the people to "grow in knowledge". The right knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. If you look at 2 Peter 1:2-3 it tells of knowledge there also.
Grace is the undeserved undying love of God for man.

When he said that it was after he had mentioned the people (sound familiar?) who are ignorant and unstable that deliberately distort the truth. He was warning us to be on guard and not lose our footing and be swept away with their error. Grow in grace is his benediction, like we say"take care of yourself" He said "Grow in grace and understanding of the Lord"
