My mother was 18 when she started dating my father who was 25. It's only a problem if it isn't consenting. I'd be more worried with other factors like abusiveness and controlling temper than the strict age.
Funny how we all have been assuming the 18 year old is a girl? ;)

The only problem I can see is that the 23 year old can go to some places where the 18 year old will not be admitted.

I think those ages are alright to date depending if the 18 year old is the male or female, if the 18 year old is the female its all good. The age difference is going to be a difficulty to overcome, but if you think it's worth it go for it.

That age difference is fine. Especially is the 18 year old is a girl, because girls are usually more intellectually satisfied with an older boyfriend anyway.

Yeah, I'm 18 and a half and I'm dating a guy who's 24 and a half. Don't see the problem!

It all depends on the maturity level of them both.
With the way alot of men are these days, I'd be very care full.... he may just see her as an easy ride.

why not ? when you see celebs like demi moore getting married to people who are closer to their kids age .or that brady guy who married a 22 yr old and he's 46

i think its fine as long as you both know what you want, don't listen to what other people say because they can't tell you what to feel. if you feel the passion and the love for this person then it's up to you and what you think is right

yea that's perfectly fine as long as the feelings are mutual..as is it always should be in every relationship at whatever age
