no matter what you are going to break her heart if you tell her if she truely cares about you, but its bad to keep something going that you are sure wont work. so just ocme out and tell her its the best thing for u and her in the long run too. she will get over it.

Since you said "break her heart" you must feel this girl must really be into you. To be honest there is no way to break up with someone without hurting them and please don't make the mistake of telling her you two can still be friends, this is like after the knife is in you turning it deeper into her.
Just express to her that you don't see this relationship going to where you would like for it to go. Don't tell her there is someone else better out there for you because this would be a real blow to her self-esteem. If you are not comfortable doing it this way then do it like so many men have done it... don't call her, avoid seeing her, lie and say you are dying, lie and say you just discovered you were gay.

Sigh, you can't. No matter what, someone gets hurt. Luckily, the scars eventually heal.
Biggest thing is don't play around. Just break it off and don't start thinking later on that she was actually the one and fantasize about getting back together. It won't work out again, and the hurt will be just as bad the second time around.
Be a man, tell her politely, being honest, but not brutal.

Honesty is the best policy, but make sure it is delivered with kindness and not brutality. Just tell her that you do not think that you are the best match. If you like, you can give one reason, but don't go on with a grocery list of what is wrong with her. And you can tell her a couple of things that you did enjoy about being with her. It is an unfortunate fact of life that sometimes we must part with someone if they are not the one for us. And it always hurts the other if they care for you in any way.

there is really no easy way to break up with someone..its gonna hurt regardless...just tell her that u are not completely in the relationship and that u feel that u dont want to half *** do it..and if u dont put ur all in a relationship u dont wanna do it at all...just tell her how u feel..u never know she might feel the same way.. and avoid an argument.

Good luck on that one, breaking up is hard to do, might ask her to sit down with you, keep it polite, but tell her in advance you've got some Bad News, and lay it right on the table...she won't be happy about it, but she'll appreciate the honesty...maybe not right away, but eventually....

So, tell her already! You might be surprised to find she is relieved, not sad. If it ain't working for you, it ain't working for her either. Get on with it! She deserves better.
