I have three doxie's. The first is a female named Chance. The reason is we got her by chance.
The second is male- he was so tiny and pathetic looking I wanted to geive him a strong name, which is Vihoe Silver Ducan.
Vihoe-indian, means chief
Silver- his color-Black and Tan Siler Dapple
Ducan- Dark skinned warrior- also for his color
Third- Female-Red Dapple with one blue eye- Named her- Tarevachine Betty Boop, Tarevachine is also Native American, and means Beautiful eyes, Betty Boop, because I like Betty boop, and Betty was my mother's name.
My friend got one of my puppies, male and she named him Hunani- Native American, which means badger, which doxie's are badger hunters.
Hope this helps you out some with ideas for names, if you are looking. Got them from the internet, Just put in baby names and came up with this site, had all sorts of names on it. Have a nice night.

Well! My first dogs name is Jasper I gave him that name because I love rocks and minerals and he has rusty red behind his ears the colour of Jasper. My second dog was a stray I found so while I was trying to find her owner I just called her Girls and it stuck and she listened to it so that is her name. My cat Topaz is so named because her eyes are the colour of the stone topaz which is also my birthstone. My cat Crickett is so named because I got her in August when all the crickets were coming into my house and she caught and ate every single one. My cat Pearl is so named because she is a pearly grey colour and also she Purrls alot. Finally my cat Peter is so named because I knew a great old tomcat named Peter and I wanted to carry on his namesake....Thats all of them!!

We have a tiny yorkie - Her registered name is "Baby Puppy Princess Aurora". Why? Our four year old wanted a dog and would pretend that she was a puppy - her name "Baby Puppy". We are also big Disney fans thus the Princess Aurora (my favorite character).
We call her Rory...
Worst name ever - my uncle gave me a dog that he named "Betty". My mother hated calling her in from the yard..

Ginger - she's a mutt, mostly German Sheperd. We've had her for going on 12 years. We named her Ginger because of the color of her fur.
Toby Covel Hurt - He's a little yorkie. He was bought as a Christmas present for my mom. Since my mom is a HUGE fan of Toby Keith, we named him Toby Covel (Toby Keith's birth name apparently) and added our last name (Hurt).

My dog's name is Chester Sebastian. My mom suggested Chester when I got him. I said hey that is cool because my favorite rocker is Chester from Linkin Park. Sebastian is a favorite name of mine. I wanted to name a baby boy Sebastian, but my husband doesn't like the name so I chose to give it to my doggie as his middle name. It also turns out to be Chester's (of Linkin Park) son's middle name.
