What the Bible says about Terrorism

Genesis 35:5
The terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them.

Exodus 23:27
I will send my fear before thee.

Deuteronomy 2:25
This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee.

Deuteronomy 4:34
... by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors....

Judges 16:27-30
Now the house was full of men and women ... about three thousand men and women.... And Samson called unto the LORD, and said ... strengthen me ... that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines.... And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood..... And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

From the Qu'ran

Terrorism
3:151 "We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve."
4:74 "Fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward."

4:76 "Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil."

4:91 "Take them and kill them wherever ye find them. Against such We have given you clear warrant."

8:12 "I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger."

21:97 "Behold them, staring wide (in terror), the eyes of those who disbelieve!"

33:35-36 "Allah repulsed the disbelievers. ... He brought those of the People of the Scripture who supported them down from their strongholds, and cast panic into their hearts. Some ye slew, and ye made captive some.

(You are really taking these out of context and making them stand alone without the supporting dialogue.) But regardless, when a persona is righteous, less righteous individuals are afraid or made nervous by their presence. Because they were obedient at that time and discarded idol worship, God made them have strong charisma. Just like a kid who knows he hasn't been behaving the best towards others is nervous around the kid who sticks up for the others and listens to the teacher and the Principle.
God uses terror on his misbehaving children the same way I occassionally have to with a spanking. Sometimes, this is the only language rebellious people are receptive to.

Maybe he was just having one of those days.
Anyone who comits an act of terror in the name of any god is a weak minded individual looking for a way out.The smart ones never seem to strap on the old tnt.Osama as much as we hate him is intelligent and very influential so he gets others to carry out his acts of terror while he chills in a cave somewhere.
No god wanted 911 or oklahoma or the bombings that happened yesterday .

The old testement God was wrathful.
But after the flood, he promised not to do that again.
The New Testament God sent his son to die and find out what it is really like to be this thing he created, a human.
He gave people free will, to use or misuse, although he made the consequences clear. So he moderated.

These quotes are being taken out of context. For example: Samson did ask God for the strength to take down that building, but that was after being enslaved, ridiculued, tortured by those people, and deceived by Delila. That was an example of God helping those who are humble and whose faith doesn't waver. If you look for bad in the holy books you'll find it, and if you look for good you'll find that also.

God does not use terrorism; people do. All wars stem from people's political viewpoints and religious viewpoints (and intolerance). Buddhism is the only world religion that has never started a war. It is truly the religion of peace. "Thou shalt not kill." Respect all living things including the smallest insects by your foot.

Jehovah is an invention of the ancient Jews for the purpose of organizing a political unity through which Jews could defeat their enemies and get land, riches and property... and feel justified in doing so.

Jehovah is usually mistakenly referred to as 'God'.

God punishes the wicked because God is not only Love and Mercy itself, but God is Justice itself and God is the giver of our life. We can't live or do anything without God. Why? Because He is God and we are not.
