you really ought to wait until you reach full term, at least 38 weeks. The baby will come when it is ready ultimately. You don't want to wish an early arrival on him or her, as s/he may be poorly if s/he is born too early, then you would feel awful for wishing it.

I know it's hard in the last month. I had twins! Imagine how I felt! But all I could think about was making it to term with them to give them a better chance in life and of survival. My feelings were put on a back burner. Afterall, you're not pregnant forever.

Awww, hunny slow down. Very shortly your life as a kid ENDS! You will not get any sleep, "NO!" becomes the most spoken word, Diapers suck1, if you get an extra $20 for some reason you will need extra diapers, your friends will think it's "cool" for a very short time, only grandparents babysit (your mom) and she still wants you back by 9 lol, etc.... But if you and those around you are lucky, a 17 year old will become a woman and a good mother. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen! You may take one look into your baby's eyes and feel the love and then nothing else will matter. Or you will hate not going out and being able to do what you want(you waited 18 years for that), blame the father, leave the baby with your mother all the time, and stay an irresponsible teen mother. Your child, ME, and everyone else hope for the good one, and we wish you the best!

The doctors in my state, say that 35-36 weeks is called premature, and may not be safe for the baby to be born that early, you may risk losing the baby. They also told me to wait at least until I was 37 weeks along and on exactly 37 weeks I was in labor and had my baby....I know you are tired of being pregnant, however consider what you and the baby may have to endure if you have him/her too early. Even at 37 weeks I had complications and was just praying that the baby make it threw the ruff situation I was facing.... So relax take a bath, listen to music and get some rest, because soon enough the house won't be silent anymore and you will be wishing for a little quiet time of your own.

If this is your first child you cannot hurry things along your doctor will have you wait untill you are due its better for your child, you just need to take things easy for another week and a half or so ok :) you will be ok the birth of your child will be the best thing you ever experience its unlike anything else you will ever experience, So enjoy every minute because soon it will all be over and you will be wondering why it all had to happen so fast!!!

There isn't any way to "hurry this along". Pregnancies are usually 40 weeks long, however, it is not uncommon for first time mothers that the gestation period is extended by a week or more. My daughter was born 21 days after her due date and then only by inducing labor.

Good luck.

Don't worry, this is a sure thing. They baby will come!=) You don't want to rush it, amazing things & much needed things are happening right now. Don't do anything at this time to try to bring on labor on your own. When you are at your due date talk to your OB or midwife, they will have good suggestions. Like some others said, take walks be active. & Truly, from a mom of 3 enjoy this last bit of time that is just yours & your babys time alone! I know it must be hard at 17. Hang in there, it'll happen! Much love & happiness to you & your little one.

36 wks is still a little early to hurry through. The longer the baby stays in you the better. Walking and Sex are good to speed up the process though.

Ask your gynacologist to put you into a coma for a few weeks. When you come round, little Jimmy or Joanne will be around.

Alternatively, a good sex session seemed to work for my wife, but you might not be able to find a football team at such short notice.

Alternatively, chill out, you might want it putting back in when you can't get any sleep!

Let it take its natural course. It would not be healthy for the baby if you go into labor now. He/she needs at least two more weeks to be ready. I know it seems like forever but hang in there and relax because that is one thing you won't be able to do once the baby arrives.

Well if you have your baby too soon, then it could have problems and at any age it's not good. don't want to risk even minor problems, so don't rush it, and let it happen when it happens. There is a reason the doctors want you around 40 weeks.
