What the Bible says about Shrimp
(God hates them.)
Leviticus 11:9-12
These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Deuteronomy 14:9-10
These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

LOL....He doesn't hate shrimp - after all, why would he create something that he hates! His whole point was to seperate a nation from all of the other nations, they would be identified by their cleanness, so he told them the foods to avoid. If you notice most of those animals that he told them to avoid were scavengers. (People who have serious food allergies are told to avoid those types of animals today because they'll send people into an allergic reaction.)

If you read in the Greek scriptures after Jesus was resurrected, these laws were done away with and anyone could eat anything (except for blood) and still be considered clean.

Who says that God has a mouth with a human tongue with the buds to taste shrimp like things? It is all products of human ignorance that Churches are organised to distribute the organised falsehood in an organised way among the innocent human beings who easily start believing these false things.

Well the save the animals people should be happy with that, God's just saving the shrimp from the evil fishermen, no matter that its one of the only sources of income for people around here, but that's what happens when people insist on seeing the world in black and white.

It seems that the dietary laws given in the bible were ment as a health preventive Pork (tricinosis) crustations (allergic reactions) Snakes )poison many of these rules were ment as health preventitives which at the time there was no cure for many people belevie that this was the reason such laws were given at this time.

Awesome picture, by the way.

But actually, you're wrong. The tail of a shrimp is considered a fin. And many shrimp have antenna, which have scales.

my guess is that shellfish like shrimp, clams, etc. can be dangerous to eat if they arent cooked well, you can get cholera, hepatitis A, salmonella, etc. plus many people are allergic to them.

a theory as to why the bible says you cant eat pork is because pork carries many diseases as well if not properly prepared, so early civilizations thought the animals were evil. i wonder if the same would apply to this, though ive never heard this reading before. maybe they saw people getting sick or having allergic reactions and decided it was the devil's work

I don't believe God hates shrimp, I do believe though that He wants us to be as healthy as possible, and that is why He says not to eat these.
