Arabs and Jews have been in Israel long before 1948. Sometime around 1300 B.C. the Philistines and Israelites migrated into Canaan. All three main religions Judaism, Christianity and Muslim go back to Abraham. The Muslim religion was not to become into being until 570 A.D.. Israel is not just a place but a homeland to the three major religions of the world.
The Arab intention is to drive all Jews and Christians off all Arab lands and make the whole region Muslim. It is the lack of tolerance of another persons religious believe that has caused this hatred of the Jew and America's support for them. Israel was like most Arab lands, barren. Arabs and Jew lived side by side for centuries. It wasn't until Jewish developers came in and bought up the land and olive groves and brought prosperity to the land did the Arabs start showing signs of envy and discontent.
Our withdrawal of Israel and eradication of the Jew would not end the hate of America and solve all problems. America will one day be from energy dependence on the middle east and they will tell the Arabs to "go pound sand".

So, if we had left all of the eastern bloc countries to Russia and not fought them tooth and nail diplomatically and morally and in the press, would east Berliners have been better off and would Russia have just sat back and said, "Wow, America is the greatest country ever" ????
I think not. If we had let the Germans take over Europe and England and the rest of the world and said "Hey, not our problem" would Hitler have said "Way to go, America" ???? Get real. There are certain moral imperatives that even an isolationist country like ours supports. The Nazis wiped out six million jews. England, which had the "mandate" in Palestine allowed a limited amount of Jewish settlement. The UN subsequently divided the area into Jewish and Arabic settlements. It was all based on guilt over what the world had allowed the Nazis to do to an entire population of people. So the Jews have a little land. We took an entire continent away from the Indians. We're not giving it back to them, trust me. And do you know why so many Palestinians are still "homeless" ? It's because other Arab nations refuse to assimilate them. I remember when Lebanon refused to let them out of the refugee camps they'd been assigned to in that country. The last thing they wanted was to let the crazies loose in their own countries. The rest of the Arab world did exactly the same thing. So the hatred just festered and spread. Now it's a rallying cry for all the nut jobs out there. GET OVER IT. Reality bites, but there are better reasons to die. Most sane people would prefer to be killed trying to say a goup of children from a disaster. Most Palestinians would rather die killing a group of children if those chilren are not theirs. Sorry, folks, that's just too sick for the rest of the world to accept. And America has too many rational people in it to sacrifice an ally to insanity.

Well, Israel as a formal nation is much more stable than any other Arab regime. It's not slander, but fact. While most muslims are decent, reasonable people, too many are fanatics who're equally willing to kill other muslims for not being islamic ENOUGH.
Presently, we're allies with israel. We had to make that decision. At the time, it ws a choice between supporting reasonable, non-murdering, non-despotic Israelis, or a group that's history is one of "Die, or join us". Today, islam has a majority of decent followers, it's just that the bad apples hate ANYBODY and will brutally murder someone, simply for having a different view. Given these circumstances, do you really blame the world for choosing Israel?
Turning our back on Israel is not an option. World opinion would be that we'd just betrayed a friend. They'd be right, and we'd not be trustworthy. It'd be seen as and be correct for people to say that we'd capitulated to the demands of a terrorist act. \
It'd be allowing middle east instability to spread, and gain power. The peaceful factions of Islam would soon be overrun by zealouts willing to kill to get their aims. If these came into power, it'd be a death toll for millions, as such people make no secret about wanting to kill every human being on this planet who won't be subjugated to their "God" concepts.

I think Israel, America and the Muslims must settle it for the interest of so many human lives involved. Ensure we all work towards a better life for all in the region. Who says the only way to have a cake is to snatch what others have. We can all increase the size of the pie and make it work. But no we want bloodshed and aggression as the only means of settling our issues. We have to humiliate. We have to hate and subdue.
We never question were all this actually comes from.

It would not solve our problems. First we're actually protecting the Muslim nations from Israel. If an American administration "dumped" Israel as you suggest and the Muslim nations united to kick Israel out....a nuclear war would be very likely. I think Israel will nuke its competitors rather then lose.
Second, assuming you we're right, and the Muslims managed to defeat Israel and eliminate it; do you really think the fanatics in Islam will stop with the Israelies? They won't. They consider America the land of infidels and will just put us next on their list.

You are deluding yourself Hammad. Americans know they aren't controlled by any jewish conspiracy. Don't try to suck up.
If there were ever a need I would go to Israel and fight with them against you whether my government did or not. What do you think about that?
