For the past year or so I've been having problems and I have been unemployed for over 6 months now because of it. I used to be such a confident and outgoing person but now I feel like crying all the time.
I feel ok when i'm on my own, but when someone talks to me I immediately feel like crying. I can't look at people in the eye and I get like a wierd nervous facial twitch. This can't be normal surely, does anyone else ever get like this?
I don't feel like this around my boyfriend or my best mate, but everyone else. I get panicy and my heart races for no reason. And I feel like I can't breathe properly. I am pregnant with my first child it seems to be worse. I am desperate to start workin again and I want to provide for my baby but i'm scared of going into a working environment. I don't know what to do, I have a midwife appointment on Thursday and thought about tellin her but I don't know what to say say. I have never told anyone that I feel like this not even my partner. please help

It sounds like you have Social Phobia, or perhaps Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Both of these are treatable with certain medications and therapy. And your heart is racing because you're panicking - which is perfectly natural and nothing to worry about. When panicking it helps to distract yourself by doing something like counting your heart rate or breathing into a paper bag. The increase in CO2 levels in your blood from breathing into a bag will automatically slow your breathing down.
Good luck!

My dear,
What is going on with you is pure and simple.... YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!! Maybe you don't feel comfortable with yourself right now and you have to be care full after the baby is born. You can get post par tum depression. My advice for you is, if you don't want to tell you parents about it, then go to psychiatrist. Even tough your parents can be better than a psychiatrist. They are cheaper!!!!... anyway success

Sounds like you're depressed.

If you can afford counseling, talk to someone.

If you're religious talk to someone you trust. Most clergy also have degrees in counseling as well as in religion.
