Deutoronomy25:11-12 (Old testament)
25:11"When two men fight together, one against the other, and the wife of one of them comes near to save her husband from the hand of he who strikes him, and puts forth her hand and seizes him by the private parts.
25:12"Then thou shall CUT OFF HER HAND! Thine eye shall not pity her!

4:3 "Marry of the women, who seem good to you, two or three or four."

33:53 "When ye ask of them (the wives of the Prophet) anything, ask it of them from behind a curtain. That is purer for your hearts and for their hearts. And it is not for you to cause annoyance to the messenger of Allah, nor that ye should ever marry his wives after him. Lo! that in Allah's sight would be an enormity."

33:59 "O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad)."

65:1 "O Prophet! When ye (men) put away women...."

You miss interpreted the Bible. When they say you have to cut the woman's hand off, it is a metaphor to saying that the woman shouldnt do that again. Its kinda like if u swear, and your mom says that she'll cut your tongue off. She woulnt really, but she means that you wouldnt dare swear again. ALthough, during the time the Bible was written, the high priests did make laws about the cutting of hands, etc. But it wasnt Jesus' teachings...your acting like you were accusing the french because they used the guillotine! Of course, time has changed...You are taking this against Christians on purpose.
and about the Koran, women are not treated fairly at all. they have to act lesser then men. that not just as fair!

You are taking that passage out of context. It's not about a man in a fight to protect his household. What the passage is teaching is that if two men are engaged in a fair fight that it's wrong for a bystander to try and cheat by pulling some dirty trick. What's even worse is for a woman to grab another man's private parts and seek to leave him impotent.

As to it being "inhumane" what's inhumane is to leave people without stern warnings and dire consequences for disobedience that will deter them from doing something as horrible as grabbing an unsuspecting man's private parts and trying to crush them.

Wow, that's twice in only about 25 seconds that Bible quotes on here reminded me why I think the old testament is a bunch of hooey. The old testament fairly drips with things that are unfair to, well, just about every living thing save wealthy men in power? Gee, what a nice book. It promotes slavery, discrimination, violence, and the oppression of women. & please, no one come around with all those quotes about how husbands are supposed to treat their wives (and slaves) nice; the fact remains that they had utter control. I think if Jesus was the son of God, He was sent here to say, HEY, you guys got all of this SO wrong!!!

That's what the Bible says alright, but that is also part of the law that Moses set-up (I'm not refering to the 10 Commandments). Anyway, the law has since passed, and we don't have to cut off women's hands anymore...

A professor was giving a big test one day to his students. He handed out all of the tests and went back to his desk to wait. Once the test was over the students all handed the tests back in. The professor noticed that one of the students had attached a $100 bill to his test with a note saying "A dollar per point." The next class the professor handed the graded tests back out. This student got back his test, his test grade, and $64 change. --------------------------------------... Take a look at the bible again, Women aren't looked at very highly throughout it. As a Christian, it's hard for me to look at the Bible and apply it to the present day as things have moved on. The Bible is outdated and you should not look at it so literally.

Equality between woman and men, mean EQUALITY. that woman hating demon always finds ways to limit women in any "religious" text. That men jump at the chance to punish women is a black mark on their sex.
