Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try,
No hell below us, above us only sky,
Imagine all the people, living for today.
Imagine there's no countries, it isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for, and no religion too,
Imagine all the people, living life in peace.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one,
I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one.
Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger, a brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people, sharing all the world.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one,
I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

The christians feared John Lennon.... to the one that said the hippies missed it.... listen to the 2005 interview with the man that shot him... they obsess with the book called "the catcher and the rye" a book he read as a child but it was not till he started reading the bible that he got delusional. The bible is what compelled him to murder John Lennon. Jesus is not a result of god's work but the result of man made religion. Man created a beast in god's image... that is Jesus... to Preacher who said "John Lennon's world would be a world without Christ. That is a world ruled by Satan" should look at what he said. what John Lennon wrote is the "recipe" for paradise and peace on earth. It's not the hippies that missed it.... it's definitely the christians that willingly interfere with peace.

We would live in a better world.

A world where we all shared our resources because we all understand that we're in this world together and we all share the same problems.

Maybe someday, we'll get there. If we can get past our ancient hatreds, modern fears, and primitive world views.

Someday.

John Lennon was a victim of a wrong understanding of human nature. We and he can imagine all we want to but the Bible and history tell us that the heart of mankind is desperately wicked and that we are all slaves to sin apart from the saving grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

That song is a song about the failed doctrines of the communist/socialist regimes. They sound great but they never work because people can't overcome selfishness and hate and sin apart from the love of God.

I loved Lennon's ideology, even if he did go a little off-track with the drugs for awhile. If you liked Lennon's words, you might also check out Kenny Loggins' words.

Not really ... look where it got John.

We need to stop imagining and start doing.

Sort of the part the hippies missed.

Bless you John and rest easy.

John Lennon's world would be a world without Christ. That is a world ruled by Satan and there would be nothing pleasing about it. The devil is a liar and he wants the entire world destroyed along with everybody in it. Jesus loves you---the devil is incapable of love. Jesus offers you eternal life in a real heaven---the devil offers you eternal death in a real hell. Stop listening to ungodly music---the songs are written by false prophets under the supervision of Satan. They are pure poison to your soul.

The world Lennon describes (come to think of it) sounds a lot like the world to come. When Jesus Christ comes back to rid the world of Satan, he will rule with peace, order, and justice.

"......thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."--Jesus Christ
