Come on over hon, we do not hate you because you are Muslim. Just like only a few Muslims are terrorists, only a few "westerners" hate Muslims.
Jesus was once asked by His disciples what the one best thing we can do for Him was and He responded by saying "I would that you love one another".

Salam :) I'm a Muslim teenager living in Canada. I wear hijab alhamdullilah and it's for the most part accepted here since i live in a big city with a sizeable Muslim population. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots at school though who ask stuff like "yo got a bomb under there hahaha". But the hardest part is being different from your friends. Being a Muslim, parties, alcohol dating boys wearing revealing clothing etc is haram, and while I don't want to do that anyway, it can be a little awkward to have to explain why I don't do it to people who consider it just a part of being a teenager and its ordinary to them. Muslims living in Muslim countries definitely have it easier when it comes to fitting in. And with food it can be a little tricky but I always try to read the label if I'm not sure of the ingredients. But I wouldn't wanna be any other religion no matter how difficult it gets and how different I feel from everyone else, I'm glad to be Muslim :)

I am truly sorry for that. Here in the United States the widest exposure to the Muslim culture and faith came after 9/11. So, unfortunately, the Muslims that most Americans know, are terrorists. We, are a nation, it seems, of people who are afraid of what seems to be different. It seems acceptable to be ignorant and follow the negative stereotypes. It has been that way since America was founded. They were afraid of the American Indians because they looked different. We enslaved Africans, because they were not deemed to be of any worth except as property. When Pearl Harbor was attacked, we rounded up all the Asians (because they could not decipher between Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Filipino) and put them in camps because they could not be trusted. Now, we look as all Arabic people as possible terrorists.

Fear of Muslim extremists is where this mentality comes from.
Today, on American TV there are 7 terrorists who were plotting to blow up the 2 major building in the US.
Most Americans know it's not all muslims, honestly!

Well, maybe not all muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are muslims. Besides, if you say that only a little number of muslims are terrorists, then why the non terrorists muslims don't stop or at least criticize those that are terrorists ?

Not all muslims are terrorist but it sure seems that almost all terrorists are muslim. To me that makes the religion a "breeding ground" for hatred and violence. Just because you and your friends are not terrorists doesn't mean that the muslim world should not take responsibility for "cleaning up its own house".

Hate? it's less why do we hate, and What in *insert random religious or non religious figure here*'s name were we thinking electing someone like bush... Twice...
and why should you be afraid to go places? in america no one will care, as long as you get out of their way (-.- we suck btw) this may have been an issue after 9/11 (world trade center bombing incase you've lived under a rock for the last 20 years) although there's much cooler places to go than america... like japan! or maybe australia!

I need to hear this from lots more "non terrorist" muslims before i believe it.
Maybe someone in power, who can actually do something about the "bad" muslims as you call them.

I am afraid this fear is only in your head. In most western countries, nobody really cares about your religion. All they care about is your personality and attitudes. Nobody is even allowed to ask you about your religion.
