As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual. Just like in the natural world moths are drawn to a flame, so are atheists drawn to the light of Christ. They flutter around the edges of it like a moth that keeps banging it's head into a light bulb that's on in the dark. They know that there's something wonderful and desirable there but they just can't comprehend it.

Atheists do not ignore god or the bible. I have read the bible and I reject it. If god is like that.....then he seems a bit cruel and on a power trip. Sending Abraham to kill his son just to see. Turning a woman into a pillar of salt when she glances back at her home. Yeah that does not seem like perfection....it seems like a crazy cop with super powers....not a deity for me. And given that I am in the mental health research area...it seems very plausible that Jesus, kind as he was, may have been schizophrenic....believing you are god or god's son or in special communication with god in the most common schizophrenic delusion. But then again there may just be an interpretation issue since I have read translations were Jesus said that is what you say, when people told him he was the son of the lord. Meaning maybe he did not think he was gods son. Ultimately Christianity is founded upon hypocrisy...a virgin birth.....used a weapon for many years against peasants who could not read and did not know any better. Some people with right frontal asymmetry and the long long version of the sertonergic gene continue believing it because their parents did. And wallah the churches power has continued for years and years. And how many people died in the holy wars, or the Crucifixion of witches, or in the protestant revolution. Christianity ranks up there with Muslims in insanity for a cause in my opinion. Go forth and reproduce more Mongols to reak havoc on the environment and civilization with their "god given rights" Should be the christian slogan.

It is not until we begin to question that we begin to grow. This is especailly so when talking about growing closer to God. if we did not question what we were missing in life would we have looked to Him? The more the "atheists" question, the more the truth will be made clear.

There are also a million other things you could be doing. If you don't want people to question your faith, keep it in your home and church and stop trying to push it into American laws, k?

Why can't Christians just STOP telling me that "Jesus died for me", " i'll go to Hell" and "God bless me" ?

Seems to me that the internal battle within their reasoning won't let them.

Personally, I think atheists can't help but speak up when it comes to religion and their beliefs because they are looking for answers to their faith themselves. It seems like they're not convinced of they're stand and entice others to a discussion to find what they need.

Because most of those questions are directed at people who don't believe God exists. Let people share their thoughts, that's the whole point of this website.

Yup, but we still feel the need to point out the ludicrousness of the bible and the myth surrounding it.
Just as you feel the need to shove rules down everyone else's throats that you are incapable of living by yourselves...

Atheists in my point of view, some of them at least must have bad experiences in their life that made them not believe in God, so whenever they get the chance to talk about it they do :)

Do you hate non Christans - Do you believe in the Bible - why havent you dont anything evil to non Christians today?

What the Bible says about Non-Christians
They are without God.

"Whosoever ... abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God." -- 2 John 9

They are all antichrists.

"For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." -- 2 John 7

They should be shunned. Neither marry nor be friends with them.

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? ... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord." -- 2 Cor.6:14-17

They should be killed.

"If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you ... Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die." -- Dt.13:6-10
