Why this 12 year old can handle our problem better than me?

I think he is able to move on but i can't I don't think I love him because I am his teacher but I miss the attention he gave me not him...I messed it up because I thought he loved me but now I am not sure!

I don't love him just miss his friendship
No intimacy ok!

P.S. I am engaged Ok so I don't want an intimate relationship!!!!!

Wow, I went back and looked at your questions and you are headed for T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!!!!!!!! What the hell are you thinking? This is a disturbing and dangerous situation. I say since you guys are out for summer vacation stop all contact. No more texting his mother's cell phone or anything. Go through with your wedding and live a happy, grown up, mature, adult life. Let this kid be just that, A KID!!!!!!!! If you do not drop this you are going to lose your job, your fiance, you reputation, your life as you know it will be over. Haven't you seen all the recent student/teacher scandals? I know you say that there has been no intimacy and that is a super thing, but you have to just drop whatever you have with this little boy. The appearance of evil is a powerful thing. Gossip spreads like wildfire and the bad is always easier to believe than the good. You are having pre-wedding jitters right now, that's all. You are missing the attention this kid gave you because it took your focus off of the wedding and the marriage. Don't worry about whether or not this kid loves you. Kids are resiliant and he will get over it, as a matter of fact, it sounds like he already has. That may be your issue....you are feeling rejected!!!!! Don't sweat it because you are about to get married. You truly need to close this chapter in your life. Nothing good will come of it, only bad. Good luck and get your head on straight. First of all, I am not trying to be rude, but you seriously need to understand that having any kind of relationship with your students other than in the class room teacher-student, is ILLEGAL! A 12 year old does not have the same concept of love as we do as adults. If you are seriously having these kind of feelings for a 12 year old student, you need to find a different line of work, you may even want to seek counseling before you end up dealing with a large court battle. I know as an adult many times we just want to be wanted, but you need to look for that love amongst people your own age. Do the right thing, stay clear of this child and any other child under the age of 18, find yourself a real man. I promise they are out there. Good Luck ~Brandi~
