George W. Carries a gun? Hmm, maybe the pepperoni on his pizza was bad. Funny, I never knew he worked for the post office.

Look I don't care for G. W. as presedent any more than I did his Daddy, but he hasn't killed anybody. Have you ever noticed that no matter who's in charge someone is always getting killed somewhere? I may not agree with alot of his beliefs, but jez, give the man a brake, at least he sticks by his convictions. Honestly, can you do any better being presedent of the only super power left in the world? Do you have any answers to all of the multiple problems he has to deal with every day? Talk about a multitasking job.

He's not all powerful you know, both houses make our polocies, not just our comander in chief. No he's not a war monger, no, he's not getting rich off the war.

Try having some empathy and ask yourself what you would do if their was a major terrorist attack when you were presedent. Everybody thinks being the boss is easy until they have to fill those shoes. The man is doing what you would do, he's doing what he believes is best for his country. And when he took office he inherited a lot of already bad situations. I have yet to see a presedent, or any world leader, who has a magic wand that can make all our trouble go away.

There are many reason why Bush may have thought invading Iraq was a good idea. Here's a list in order of importance.

1) His legacy: He actually wants to save the world from terrorist and spread democracy. He want to go down in history as a Savior

2) Bad advise: Bush surrounded himself with similar thinking people. So when everyone fell in love with the idea there wasn't anyone who could stop it.

3) US dependence on oil: Bush believed that the war would pay for itself and since the US "saved" Iraq we would get cheap oil from them for the next 50 years.

4) Region: Bush is a born again Christan, which means he believes he must try to convert as many people as possible. Iraq is almost all Muslim so they need a lot of saving.

5) Revenge: Saddam try to kill his father.

Bush does not do that. Dick Cheney almost did though.
But if you mean, why go hunt the enemy down and kill them:
For the same reason Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, James Madison, George Washington, Peter the Great, Napolean, Ghengis Khan, Alexander the Great or for that matter it has always been true.

Read up. Educate yourself.

If a combatant hides among children and shoots from behind a shield of children, how is that our responsibility? We did not decide for that combatant to hide behind the innocent.
We have to defend ourselves, just as has always been true in history

I know he can fly a fighter plane but i never heard of him being in combat to kill any innocent people. Or did he get on his white charger with sabre drawn and charge all the way to Iraq. I wish you had posted some links. It would be good viewing.

while it is true that saome innocent people have been killed during this war, so have a lot of very bad people (i.e. Taliban, Al Qeida, suicide bombers, etc.) sometimes innocent people get caught in the crossfire. but let us not forget the THOUSANDS of TRULY INNOCENT people killed in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC on 9/11.

Ego trip, revenge for his father losing his job after the first iraq war. Many wars boost popularity remember Cliton and Clobba-Slobber.

This one just back-fired because Bush had no reason for war, he gained after Afghanistan and thought the same would happen in Iraq.
