Several states are considered "compact states". I know many times "compact states" do not have to border one another. Missouri and Texas are compact states. It depends if Texas has revoked your driving privileges in Texas through DPS. If you successfully obtain a new license in a new state and are stopped, and the officer finds out you resided in TX, then you are suspended or revoked in the new state. It will not make you a valid driver. Also if you warrant is a misdemeanor, they most likely will not extradite from another state. Depends on the extradition code, full state, partial state, area pick up.

I think so. I had a buddy that was being looked for by the cops because of TWO DWI warrants in Texas and took off to Florida. He lived there for about five years before getting busted again and getting extradited back to Texas. After a year in jail and three year's probation, he's only got about a year left. The warrants were ten years ago, however, and technology has changed. I got a DWI in Texas and moved to Nevada after all my fees and classes were done and I only had three months left of probation (18 total). I got my driver's license no problem, and somehow never had to get an SR-22. Good Luck, and remember to be careful, because if you get arrested again for anything else, they will run your background check and you will have to pay the piper someday. I spent 22 years in Texas, and a lot of my friends tell me that the DWI laws are getting insane down there, so I don't know if there is a statute of limitations on DWI charges. Changing states was a great idea for me (to have a clean slate and start a better life), and I hope it works out for you too.

Your question relies upon on some added information. What court docket issued the warrant and what advance into the muse? there's a nationwide database of warrants (NCIC) that regulation enforcement in Texas ought to actual examine. So the 1st questions isn't any remember if it rather is a variety of warrant and can or might look in NCIC? case in point civil warrants which would be issued for failing to look at an asset listening to or failing to conform with a new child help order, does not look in NCIC. 2nd, is it sensible to dwelling house and delivery based on the reason of the warrant. no remember if it rather is an undemanding Failure to look on a rushing fee ticket, the bond might purely be a pair hundred money. Or, no remember if it rather is an undemanding failure to pay, you may purely owe a small volume of funds. even though you incredibly must be taken it, it would be desperate to be impracticable in view that housing may be intense priced and it rather is in all probability that Oklahoma might elect to no longer pay to delivery you decrease back to Oklahoma. i might propose which you touch an Oklahoma criminal expert to confirm if there's a thank you to get the warrant dealt with.

Many states, but not all, have agreements with each other. If you live in a state that borders Texas they probably do. Have you looked into AA for your drinking?
