You need to look at the root of the little things that are annoying you. I used to get so upset and frustrated with people because it seemed like no one understood what I was trying to say, and I would get so pissed & then it would be nothing! I was taking a situation from Point A (Something happened, it could be just that someone said something) straight to Point Z (they're idiots and the world is going to fall apart) bypassing Points B, C, D etc and when I stepped back I realized there's always a step B,C and MAYBE D. Then I went to this lecture and this professor said that everytime we feel like that it's due to a specific something from our childhood ( I KNOW EVERYONE SAYS THAT< AND EVERYONE HAS HEARD THIS) but he was specific about a certain thing (that you WILL remember), that happened that makes you feel this way. And I did! I remembered exactly what caused it, and my whole base fear in my life revolves around the fact that I am terrified that no one is listening to me, or no one understands what I'm saying, not in a logical 40 year old woman way, but in a 5 year old child "no one believes me" way. It was an epiphany and I've learned since to distance myself from the emotion of everyday things, because reality is, for the most part, no one really gives a rat's *** about making your life miserable, or thinking about how you're feeling. So it's you reading emotion into something that's not there.

Dont sweat small stuff. confront & solve the problem then & there. unsolved problems grow big or eat up ur time, make you worry & drain your energy. Your current frustrations & depressions are your reaction to current events but hitting ur past unsolved events or issues. If you can solve them, not only you will be able to enjoy every moment of your life, you also will be able to devote time for important bigger constructive events of your life. Since you already realise that things which you though were trival & wasted time, you have moved to higher level. Next step is to attend to any issues of past & empower you to deal with unforseen events of today & future. You can do it with some training & guidance or self help books.

What is that saying? "Don't sweat the petty stuff (and don't pet the sweaty stuff)". As you get older, you'll be able to handle the little stuff better and be better equipped to save your energy for the big problems. I've learned to save my steam for when I need it, and ignore the small trivial problems in life. In the whole big scheme of things, it isn't worth the aggravation.

it mostly occurs when u hv some kind of stress on ur mind, just relax & try to think about good things. & try to find the reason of your depression, by comparing the pros & cons of the things which makes u depressed.
