Baptism, is a step in the right direction but not the end result of your efforts. If you die while being baptized you still have no hope of getting to heaven if your heart is evil. Likewise if you die with a pure heart right before you get baptized, God saw the intent of the heart, and you would be saved. He doesn't do the doctrinal nit-picking people do.

We are living in the end times. Matthew 24 : 36 - 51 says that people would be going about their business and would not even realise that it was the end of times.

This is how it is now. We go about our business as time draws to an end, those who have their hands on the plough go forward, those who do not are left behind to make their choice. When all have heard, then the Son of Man will come in glory and bring with Him the new creation.

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward belief. Water on your head means nothing if you don't believe in your heart first. The reason we baptise children is so that parents will commit themselves to bringing the child up by Christian values. The child is not saved by baptism, but by the parent bringing him/ her up by The Word. Judgement come when you make your dicision to follow Christ or deny him. I say to Jesus "I believe that you are who you say you are and I follow you", or I say "You are a liar and I will not follow you." If you say and believe the first answer, judgement has been passed and you have accepted God's free gift which is Jesus saving grace.

No one can save you but Jesus. Christian Baptism is just something you do after you are saved but only thing that will save you if Accept Jesus into your heart .. Believe on Him and confess your sins.
After you have done this you will be born again and saved. Then you can get baptized in water as a celebration of burying your old self in a water grave coming up as a new creature or person in the Lord. But the act of baptism will not save you.

As far as I know or have found out there is not a shred of evidence to indicate that you will wander the earth as aghost etc. or that christianity can save you. If you think about it it is a pretty handy way to get followers to your religion-"oh yeah did i mention that unless you join us you'll wander the earth for eternity as a lost soul?ya no it's a bit crap ya know that's life here's an application form!"

no, baptism won't save you. it is simply an outward expression of the inward commitment you make to follow Christ.

Rom 10:9 So you will be saved, if you honestly say, "Jesus is Lord," and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death.
Rom 10:10 God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this and tell it to others.
Rom 10:11 The Scriptures say that no one who has faith will be disappointed,
Rom 10:12 no matter if that person is a Jew or a Gentile. There is only one Lord, and he is generous to everyone who asks for his help.
Rom 10:13 All who call out to the Lord will be saved.

Act 4:12 Only Jesus has the power to save! His name is the only one in all the world that can save anyone.

Joh 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life!" Jesus answered. "Without me, no one can go to the Father.

Baptism for an adult is serious business.

It's like a contract between you and Christ. He opens the door to Heaven and eternal life for you. You live according to His guidance and will.

You gotta BELIEVE in this as efficacious and that means you gotta believe that Jesus IS the Christ, the Son of the Living God. If you can't, don't or won't, then don't bother getting baptized. It'll be a waste of time.

Let go of the guilt man.
You will feel so much better. There is no Heaven/Hell except what you create for yourself.
You dont have to join any religion to 'save yourself'.

My advise is to lead a positive and inspired life.
Do what makes you happy.
Bring joy to the lives of others.
And dont go out with intentions to hurt/harm others (or yourself)

Also Let Go of a Guilty Past.

No you will not be saved by being Baptsed. You are save by accepting Jesus Christ and following his teachings. Part of his teaching is repent and be Baptised but it's the change of heart that is most important, many people are getting dunked under water believing thenslve to be saved. But if their hearts are not changed then they are not saved. One must follow Jesus with their heart to be saved.

No, a Christian "baptism" wont save you!

What saves you, is, if you truley believe that JESUS CHRIST, died and was burried and has risen from the grave, to pay for your sins. You must confess this to HIM and to all, that you repent of your sins, then, are baptised in the newness of CHRIST.

Then you live a good Christian life after that, loving all...

I wish you well..

My friend from what you have said in this and your next question you are not saved and don't know Christ. I urge you to study the Word of God and learn about the free gift of grace in Christ. You trust in your saying lines over and over, this will never save you. You want to trust in getting baptized, this will never save you. You have been taught a false religion and a false Jesus. You have read enough of the Bible to have heard the Gospel (Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish). It is not saying lines or even in your Baptism (although this is important it doesn't save), it is only By faith in the work Jesus did. We are to believe that His perfect work is given to us and our sins given to Him. We cannot earn anything. It is an act of unbelief when we don't trust His work and try to rely on what we do or say. Jesus has His sheep and He saves them and gives them life and they follow Him. You say you must at least try. Try what? To live by the 10 commandments? The Bible is clear no one is justified this way:
Galatians 2:16
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
Remember the word of Salvation:
