To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this. There are plenty of Sports where women fit in quite well and perform brilliantly.
However, Football (as well as Rugby) are quite rough at times and in my humble opinion not suited for female bodies.
We live in an age where the idea of "absolute and total equality" leads women to practically doing everything men do, just to show and prove that they can do it. This leads often to quite bizarre and unfortunate developments and degrades the female image more than it enhances it.
Nature has made us into two different sexes, with quite different structures and functions of body and mind. We should accept it and make the best of it in fair and proper partnership between the sexes. Instead we see women trying to be like men and better at specific male tasks, which shows irrationality. If men would want to follow that example, they would demand to give birth to their children. Equality and emanzipation are fine as long as it makes sense and accepts the laws of Nature. When it goes beyond that, all we can do is damage.

Me! the shirt swapping and all ;) lol
No in all seriousness the standard of the womans game is forever improving and who knows within the next 10 years we may have our first professional woman player playing along side the lads. Infact im sure a woman nearly signed for a side in Italy last year but failed her medical or something.
heres a story from Mexico not that long ago. It also mentions a little about the italian club trying to sign a Female German international!

I like and play womens football. It is getting better all the time because more coaches seem to want to teach the ladies side to find out the difference between training men or women, and i think they are pleasantly suprised at how much they want to listen and learn rather than giving abuse back when things arent going their way.Thats why the standard is getting better due to more coaching avaliability.

the standard is getting better and its sometimes refreshing to see people playing the game they love , instead of overpaid premier league players who are a load off greedy sods who dont love the game or team they play for . where has the loyalty gone.
