Like with which i can shorten songs... I mean choose and starting n ending point and save it...

The best out there is wavepad ... and it's free to try. You can shorten, amplify, change fomats and much more. Here's the link.

Audacity would be the cheapest. It is open Source so its free and well supported. The interface is however a bit difficult to work with.

Nero 6 Reloaded has audio editing Software built in too. If you have nero burning rom 6 you may however need to download an update to use it

For basic and some no so advanced editing i reccommend Adobe Audition 1.5 (formely Cool Edit Pro), it is however not freeware but you can get a trial from adobe (i think). it has more feaurtes than Audacity and has a better interface as well as a more user friendly editor.

i've used dexter before but you need to convert mp3 to wav first
