I don't think it's the same. The difference between males and females is not the same as the difference between people of different skin colors. There are many people who feel the way you do but I think people only feel that way when they are taught to believe in a false connection between race and personality. Some people think that if they have one skin color but don't act the same or have the same interests as the others around them of that color, than they are wrong. I've grown up having to deal with people telling me that my interests were not black enough but I've never felt that I was wrong for having those interests.
You should seek counseling to become more comfortable with what you are. Your color is just that: your color. It doesn't guarantee any interests or personality traits. Gender is a different story.

I think is possible people think like that.
Most people are never happy with what they have or are.
Somes wants to be more tall, others wants blue eyes, others and so on..this because people think if they were this or that, they would be able to have this or that, but the reality, is that they would not have more or less, if they were this or that way.
What makes people archive their dreams is the way they think. How they see things, How they analize things.
There's no such things as right or wrong color. I know we live in a racist world, but if you realize that even white people suffers discrimination, you will understand, that after all we all feel the same way when get offended.
A little example:
My ex-boyfriend, is white, he is irish-american. He comes from a poor family and he worked hard to be in the position that he is today. All his life he felt discriminated, because his parents were poor, and to make things worse, he father became alcoholic..if you look at him today, you would think: there it go another withe rich guy, if I was white and rich my life would be like this and like that...but the reality, is that we never know what is behind a person. He (my ex-boyfriend) never think is smart enough, because a guy at his work, went to Harvard and he didn't go to a good college...
I want much more than I have, so like most people I think...If I was like this, or If I had this, I would be this or I would do that....
Let's faced the problem isn't on having the wrong sex, or being on the wrong race, the problem is how we see things.
I will give the advice I took for myself.
Try not to listen to what others people say, even if is your best friend or you parents...doesn't matter who, even if Jesus Christ show himself to you and say: You can't have or get this or that because you are born with the wrong color for someone whom wants this or that, or because you were born with the wrong sex to get this or that....Don't pay attention. Keep trying, stop to try, only if you covinced yourself you really can't get something, not because soemone told you.
Once I saw Lenny Kravtz interview, and the reporter, asked him:
Do you think you be able to keep selling your cd's like you have sold form the past years, if you as a black men, keeps singing white songs?
He said: Sorry, I didn't know music have colors, I never see them.
Now, we know, why Lenny Kravitz is Lanny Kravitz.
Do I have to say something else?

You have to ask yourself what defines a race. With cultural boundaries becoming ever more blurry, your belief stems more from the fact that you identify with that culture more, rather than it's your birthright to be that race. If a white family grew up in a lower-class barrio in Mexico, for example, they might hold the same cultural beliefs as the Mexicans.

I once heard a white person say..."I am a black man trapped in a white man's body". This guy was a really good dancer and had a lot of rhythm. So, yes, I think there are those who feel they have the wrong skin color. You're not alone.

okay.
If you are Black in colour, then dont become Michael Jackson.
Be natural to your self and your body.
what if you change your colour and dont like yourself after the change, what would you then. Every one have some positives and some negatives, always look at the positives if you are to move ahead in life and learn by the negatives.
Accept yourself as you are. Imagine if you were created by god with only one eye, one hand, one leg, then what would you do then. The greatest irony of humans is that they do not accept themself as they are and do not thank God for it.
