Because he forgot that he has a different OBJECTIVE, the real aim was to recognize ALLAH and worship Him, but unfortunately devil the worse enemy has made man to forget Allah and run after income, moeny etc which is of no use in life after death and hence he spoils his life which is eternity or life after death, where he will be depresed and will say that OH why i did wasted my time in the folishness, even he will blame deveil the worse enemy, and the devil will say that i just pointed out an option in that life, it was you who was rushing behind the false charm and false desires, thats why blame yourself, you even knew that promise of Allah is true promise and mine were false.
IN SIMPLE PRAY FOR SUCH PERSON AND ALSO GIVE ADVICE BY TELLING HIM THAT EVERY ONE HAS TO DIE WHATS SO EVER HE IS, even Adolf Hitler who killed thousands of people, and was invisible at that time to enemy, but where is he now, dead. Similarly after 10, 20, 30 years or even after a second we dont know that will we live or die.
WISE IS HE WHO PREPARES HIMSELF BEFORE DEATH FOR THE LIFE AFTER DEATH.
There is no god but ALLAH, Muhammed is the messenger of Allah.

Acutally this is an interesting question and my answer is actually drawn from Quran as
- We should faith in the God as one and the only. This saves the identification effort.
- We ought to pay Zakah (.025% of the excess of the money we make). This focus us on not only get an income for basics of life, but to get more to manage this duty.
-Also, we make income out of developing this land and through the process of benefits exchange and God states that while developments of this Planet, we shall be able to assure ourselves that God exists and that he is the one and the only.
Who raised the sky without columns, who put the system of day and night, who put the system for our blood circulation and who tuned the heart beats and who created our desires in us and who created its satisfaction, who knows when you come to life and who knows when you die.
Thus focus on income is really rewarded in life and on Judgment day..Go get more income.
