Beer aint the greatest taste in the world is it? So if your not drinkin it to get smashed I really don't see the point. Have a juice or a coke it tastes better!
Coffee is a different matter though, some people have to have it, but by drinking decaffinated they cut down. Its a diuretic and not all that good for ya!

Some people drink decaffinated coffee, tea & coke or pop whatever you call it it, Because the caffeine makes there heart palpitate. Palpitate meaning: to beat with excessive rapidity; which could cause them to go into cardiac arrest.
And I don't know why there is alcohol free beer .... I guess for AA people or maybe even for underage people who want to look cool or fit in with the older people?

Alcohol free beer gives people in Alcoholic Anonymous a chance to enjoy social "drinking" without alcohol. Decaf gives you the taste of coffee without the buzz or the shakes.

If you discover you are caffiene sensitive but still want a warm drink that's not loaded with sugar and calories, decaf is a brilliant idea.
Plus, according to the doctor I apparently have narrow blood vessels in my hands and feet, which is why they get so cold easily - and having lots of caffiene only makes the circulation worse - so decaf stuff is perfect for me!
On the other hand - Alcohol free beer? WTF?!
Now that's pointless. The pubs normally stock J20 for the drivers, and there's always lemonade or Coke. XD

Some people like the taste but not the effect. For example people who drink coffee regularly then get pregnant or develop and allergy. Jus to have the taste i guess. But i get the alcohol related> So underage peopel an still feel liek grown ups :)

To kill ourselves slowly. Coffee must have caffeine and those that are decaf are more pure in chemicals that can cause certain diseases like cancer. But to drink coffee that has no caffeine is like living without a soul. And alcohol free beer represents those who pretend to be cool.

Taste and smell.
Just in case you guys didn't know, it's illegal to sell a non-alcoholic beer to a minor because there is still some alcohol in it.

decaffinated coffee and tea is good for me as i suffer with migranes,and this helps.
the beer i guess its just for the taste

i guess it would be the craving for flavor or similar flavor anyway. avoiding the side effects.
what is the point of using a sugar substitute instead of sugar?
i really know the answer to that but it's just an example of a craving, then substituting the worse one with something else thats a bit better for you to satisfy the craving.
