i just came from my dermatologist last week. i specifically remember reading on a poster that increased exposure to the sun will worse acne by causing the oil glands to produce more sebum (an oil your body naturally produces), blocking the pores.
why would tanning be beneficial to skin? EVER?

NO NO NO!!!! All that does is darken the skin, makin the marks or acne darker. plus sun exposure makes you skin produce more oil and skin flake, So basically it's just clogging your pores worse. try using an astringent like Sea Breeze to help with acne

It's every bit as likely to increase the occurence of blooming acne. It seems like it would help, but mostly it won't.

Some sun can help reduce acne, but too much will aggravate it.

Sure will! I had acne really bad, and begin laying in the tanning bed and it dried it all out. One bad thing about it, the tanning bed and sun will give you cancer and very dry skin.

Maybe a little bit, but they will always keep coming back as long as you continue to eat peanut butter or anything made with peanuts.
