I can understand your pain. Have you tried any goverment run services like MHMR, I live in Texas but, have lived in other states too and they all seem to have them. They do counseling and help find outpatient/inpatient services based on income. Also, look in your local telephone book, you should be able to find an emergency metal health line in the government pages. Hope this has helped some.

I think what you might need is a support group for yourself, people in the same situation as yourself... You can check your local hospital, library, doctors any off these places will have phone numbers address etc, for your particular support group...
Narcotics anonymous (AA) meetings may be helpful, for you both, for you to understand the addict..
I wish you all the luck, there is nothing worse then watching a sibling killing themselves!

Its not about the bed its about the mind. He needs to go to NA (narcotics Anonymous) they welcome new comers. He should get a sponsor while he is there. He should do this until a bed open ups. All of the people at NA have been there. They could help him out on what to do to get a bed faster. There is alot of good people in NA.
Good Luck and God Bless

If he's truly commited to getting clean you should seek out your local Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous. Most, if not all, rehabs use the 12 step program anyway.

There are also out-patient clinics...Depends on where you live. Look in the phone book under drug-addiction. He could beat this without going in..I know many people that have. Good luck.

Your best bet would be to have him see the mental health clinic people (not detox). This situation is very damaging to mental health and perhaps they can get him taken care of.

You can do this in your own home! Give him all the support you can give him and he'll manage to get over the drugs. Also make sure you give him a healthy diet and he exercises.
