No, we have a president with penis envy and wants to make money off his position. He has destroyed his country, Iraq, and lost the faith of his people and ended the influence of the Republicans. The majority here think what we did was the actions of a small weenie douchebag

To the guy who had this to say.......

Our military in Iraq:

1. Is to form a democracy which will spread to all Arab countries and take the decision making of war and using WMD out of the hands of dictators.

2. To show countries that sponsor terrorism that we mean business and they better not mess with us.

3. If the Arabs cut off our oil it would cause our economy to collapse and send us into utter turmoil. That is the easiest way to defeat us. They can't do this now.

------------------------------------------

Sorry dude but you've been brainwashed.

1. What you are saying is the Domino Theory and that theory has been disproven when Communism didn't spread when the Communists took control of Vietnam. There's already plenty of countries that use/used Democracy in the Middle East...Turkey, Egypt, Israel, and Iran for starters. It hasn't spread and won't spread.

2. Iraq has no links to terrorist groups. So the only thing we're showing is that we're going to invade your country and steal your oil because their views don't fit ours.

3. How freakin ignorant are you? Do you really believe that the OPEC countries are going to commit economic suicide by refusing to export their only goods? If they refuse to export their oil then they have nothing. They will have no money to maintain their infrastructure and would immediately become as worthless as some 3rd world country in Africa.

The conscientious of them leave the service, those who can not find work anywhere else stays put. Killing people is a good earner and solve the unemployment problem in the States.

Since when is the war about "saving" Iraq?
I don't think it was ever about saving Iraq, but it was about saving people. And I have to say that I myself was never for the war and I am still not for the war. To many people on both sides have died and for what? The price of oil? Its deeper than that, there is so much that we don't know. But there is no reason for war ever. Even in the name of God war is useless it has always brought about death and it always will there will never be a war that is without a death toll.

I am of the opinion that this has less to do with Iraq's specific oil than it does with the US having at least a pair and probably more permanent military bases in the middle east. From what I understand, and this is unverified, the United States is already building them, one in Northern and one in Southern Iraq..

Its all about what you believe and sadly some Americans want to believe a lie. You see to construct a lie is complex. Sometimes it starts off with a hidden motive, sometimes it starts off with a distortion of the truth for selfish purposes, sometimes it arises out of pure racist hate for something or some-one different to you (see the Sweetseductress comment - whom I personally think should continue worrying about which cosmetics brand she should try next instead of stretching her brain to understand the complexity of geopolitics). The lie is bound to tumble on itself and like a rolling snowball it grows upon itself to desperately cover the original distortion out of fear of being exposed. Eventually the lie becomes so overwhelmed with trying to maintain itself that it actually starts looking like the truth in the mind of the lier. He developes a siege mentality and percieves the actual truth as propoganda threatening to break through the complex web he has spun in his mind. He has now become a fool believing the very lie he created himself. He is living in fools paradise without even knowing it. He starts confusing defeat from victory. He starts confusing freedom with subjugation, liberation with occupation, democracy with autocracy. So, what is obvious to the rest of us is an effort to distort his vision of what he wants to believe and like a scared bully he starts seeing a threat in every corner. Sadly, this is the case of many Americans today. It is pathetic.
