in any case if you have the OS CD then put it in and boot up uour machine You can do this by hitting F8 during start up to select the boot device... choose the CD and you are on your way.

If you don't have the OS then you can buy XP OEM version fairly cheap these days.

Apps usually come with an installation program that makes it painless to put on your machine

Place the XP installation CD into the computer and hold down the letter C as the computer starts up.

continue with the installation and you may be asked to restart your computer and change the CD a few times while installing the drivers.

Check your Operating System CD with your pc.
Else you may have restore cd with your pc..
and then install the OS for your pc.
