i keep dreaming that i die, and the Goddess(i'm wiccan) walks w/me, and She's telling me that i'm going to have to attend my own funeral before i can begin my afterlife, but not to worry, that She'll be there. so i turn into a hawk, and fly to my own gravestone, which i land in front of. everyone's already there for the graveside rites, n i turn back into me, and slip into a chair and wait. well, it's the Goddess that gets up to deliver my eulogy, but it's a christian burial(i was formerly christian), well as She starts giving my eulogy, and talking about pagan beliefs about the afterlife, an old lady i've never met before, but am sitting right behind, starts mumbling about the audacity of this woman, giving a pagan eulogy when everyone knew i was christian. i get mad, n look at the Goddess as if to ask if i can 'teach her a lesson', and the Goddess nods, but i know i can't physically hurt the woman. it's then that i wake up. what does this dream mean?

the fact that you want to teach her a lesson, but know you can't hurt the woman, is a tremendous thing, especially because this is where you keep waking up.
Your Christian background is the arena the dream plays in - a Christian burial - your roots, and you don't mention if this upsets you because it's not a Wiccan burial. However, the dream promises you an "afterlife" after the Wiccan delivers her eulogy, which represents a transition. Wicca upsets many Christians who might not know the ins and outs of it, and this is the family and friends (you never mentioned if your family is actually there) you experience at the funeral. the old woman you never met doesn't want to hear about this, as most in the Christian community wouldn't understand. I'm curious and would need to know more to give you a better answer, but right now the symbology is death, with a promise of rebirth from the goddess that doesn't happen because of the old woman - who is protesting your "new" religion. Again, i wish i knew more details, but it is either pushing you to go with conviction of the "afterlife" you seek in Wicca, and as there is no death, and just like the pheonix rising from the ashes, death is rebirth for the spirit and soul. Or, the dream is forcing you to reconsider leaving Christianity completely (you can be both), which you are having trouble doing because you can't get past the old woman and the goddess' promise of what happens after the eulogy.

You have deep seated insecurities about your belief system. Probably in your daily life, you encounter disapproval from people (especially Christians amongst your family and friends). Your Wiccan views would be seen as satanic by some. Within you there would be some level resentment at their inability to give you space for your beliefs.
The dream probably reflects these conflicts.

I will draw a basic pcychological infereance. This is a manifestation of your subconcious conflifts and dilema between beliefs of christianity and pagan. Your anger towards the end may be a helplesseness or a resistance to belive some aspects of Paganism...go easy on yourself :-)

It means you drank too much beer before going to bed and need to go pee.

It means you find freedom (bird, flight)

in your Wiccan beliefs

but your family (judgmental old lady you can't hurt)

is trying to keep you from enjoying your freedom (returning to body, confined to chair)

Oh, yeah, in conclusion, it means you won't fully know freedom until you make a final break with Christianity since you are still undecided. You are allowing your family to interfere.

"Family' can mean any authority figure, but it is most likely your literal family.

This seems to be a warning to you. It seems to be delivering a clear message to you that the way you have chosen, while it may seem best to you, will lead you to your own death. The Goddess speaks to you of life, but her words seem to be deceiving you. The focus of this entire dream is your death and funeral. While she speaks of life, you experience your death, your funeral, your gravestone and graveside rites. There is no life here. I hate to sound so negative, but this dream is very unsettling. It seems to be saying that you are being deceived.

The old woman is Albert Einstein. The tomb stone is post-modernist regret.

It means you haven't let go of your old life yet, you need to die to it. You need to let go of the resentments attached to your old life, especially. If you had really let go, you wouldn't have cared what the old lady said.

it could mean that someone in your family didn't like it much when you "stopped" being a christian , and since you love them you cannot hurt them.
