How could insulting other religions without even trying to understand them, be a good thing? Whatever happened to tolerance?

ok, maybe the swearing was unnecessary. Oh, and to AngiB, I don't think trying to convert others to another religion is right either. But hey, u have to agree, most religions have the same basic message.

Maybe the religion you're referring to is a religion of hate. Pat Robertson is the Jerry Garcia of televangalists.

I feel Pat Robertson has made some poor choices in voicing his opinions but I also believe he is a Godly man. I can tell you as a Christian, we are trying to win as many lives for Christ as we can, tolerance plays no part in it. As a Christian, we believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. There are no other Gods, Period. So to be tolerant of other religions would be living a lie, so to speak, to us. Just voicing my opinion on the matter. The fact of the matter is...God gave us the freedom to make the choice, he is everywhere and very evident, all you have to do is look around and know God is with us. So choice be yours to choose eternal life through Jesus Christ or not. No matter what you choose, know that God has unconditional love for you but it is your choice. God Bless and keep you. Do some investigating on your own.

Well, I wouldn't call him a name like that, but I do believe that he tends to say a lot of embarassing things.

I'm a Christian myself. An evangelical Christian, no less.

I think that being the owner and primary broadcaster for the 700 club has so removed him from reality that he's starting to get a bit dottie and says stuff that just pops into his head and believes it to automatically be true.

All I can say is stuff like wanting to assasinate that South American president, and Katrina being a punishment from God are just plain embarassing. I wish the media would ignore him for the crackpot that he is and stop giving him so much attention. He deserves obscurity.

Major! Doesn't he have people around him who are willing to tell him he's gone off the deep end? It was bad enough when the worst he seemed to do was bilk the elderly out of their spare change by selling prayer crap. He makes all Christians look bad, and we aren't looking that great to begin with!
For Johnny K-Please, what an insult to Jerry Garcia!

Pat Robertson comes across as a dumbass, because the religious right is so dumb they made him a millionaire 72 times over....

Well, lets think about him for a moment now. A preacher, a man of God who is calling for the ASSASSINATION of anouther human being. Doesn't that violate some major rule that all Christians (and, if memory serves me correctly, he is) are supposed to hold dear ? Oh yeah, that pesky "Thou shall not kill" clause. Since he would not be doing the killing, would that make everything alright? I wonder how the Pope (his boss on Earth) would feel about that one?

Hey buddy, I am with you. Pat Robertson is a creature who should crawl into a cave and fade away. Unfortunately, he has fallen in love with his own sense of self importance.
