She is very mellow, plump, happy, loves my lap, took a bath beautifully, ate and drank lots and went for a long walk on her first day with us after she approached us in the park. Any dog care help/suggestions for a chihuaha would be appreciated. (I think she may need her anal glands expressed cuz she did the booty rub on the sidewalk.)

The only thing that I have noticed about Chihuahua's versus other dogs is that they seem to require an INSANE amount of praise to get them to do the RIGHT thing...such as NOT crap on the carpet! On the flip-side they DO NOT respond AT ALL to being punished or yelled at.......they don't seem to find anyone intimidating I guess!

Ooh!! I can help!! I have had chihuahuas all my life... and first of all.. if she did the booty rub she probably has worms or other parasites... it makes their butts itch.. and that's why they do that... or they have a piece of dry feces on there but still and are trying to get it off..... chihuahuas are very territorial... don't lock her up when people come over though cause they will get worse... let her see people and get used to them coming over.... she will bark for a minute an then just go away... don't let her sleep outside cause it's very bad for them... they can catch colds and die very easily... let her sleep inside in a little box with a warm blanket. Don't let her overeat either that's bad for dogs that small... the joints in there legs can't take the weight... I can't think of anyhting else... but fee free to email me with any questions ok?? Good luck with ur new pet!!

That's a good mix. She will be a fun pet. I would take her to the vet immediately and have her checked out, and get her shots and whatever other care she may need. Chihuahuas are energetic and playful, but can be a little loud with the constant barking.

Yeah be careful she may be sweet now but she may turn into an ankle biter, my 4 yo grl is the owner or shall I say is owned by the same mix of Dog and at first she was soooo sweet, Now we've dubbed her Killer and shes not even a foot tall. LMAO

Thats a great mix...Terriers are very smart and like to run alot and they can be nosey at times...The Chihuaha, they can get alittle nasty at times, wanting to snap at strangers...They think their bigger than they really are. But,Sounds like this pup is in the right hands and will be trained right...Have fun will your baby...

if u have found her than she might be missing or she might be somebody's pet so first check if she is missing or abundoned.
