Grundig is a german brand but being maufactured in France and some other countries too.it is a reliable brand and products are of good design and quality.
One more important thing is to be aware of after sales sernice and support in your area.If they have an office,then go for it.

Although some might say it's name is not big enough...i have to tell you that without a doubt..it is the best brand for me.....i have been fixin tvs for 13 years now..and i mut say ..the oldest models i've seen still working are grundig's.myself i have a color tv that grundig manufactured in 1976....it's still working!!!and...i'm pleased with it....i only fixed it once 5 years ago.so my advice..it's worth it.and...i've never seen a grundig tv with a bad picture...

Grundig is an European brand of electronics, German I believe. I would say it's a second-tier in quality. Phillips and Siemans are bigger European names.

From an old man: in the 70s and 80s Grundig was one of the best (with Blaupunkt!) in Europe. Then it was a 100% German company. Best TVs, tape recorders, radios,...
