Yes, a mother can be blame for loving one of her children more then another this can cause problems between the children. Even though I'm the only child I notice things like this. This can also cause problems between her and her children to have a good relationship while growing more older. A mother should always treat her children fair no matter what.

How can any mother love one of ther children more than another one of her children? What does that do to a child? Growing up knowing their mother doesn't love them as much as their sibling. It has to make them feel inferior. What about their self esteem, their self worth? They wouldn't have any, which will affect them the rest of their lives! I have 2 daughters and I couldn't imagine loving one more than the other. Their so different and I love them both for being unique and for being themselves. Children are so precious, how could a mother hurt one of her own children in that way?

Yes. It is a fact that every mom loves their children unconditionally, but to have more love towards one is not abnormal. Just keep in mind that the other children are always on alert to those types of things and will throw that up in your face as they get older. Just make sure you don't overdo it with one and do nothing for or with the others.

Definitely. That's just cruel. Anyway, love is unconditional. So if you truly love someone, it's kind of all or none. You might favor them for certain things because it's convenient or maybe because one is better at something than the other. But this doesn't apply for love. If you do that, there's a good chance you'll screw up the child in some psychological way.

Yes if you really show that you prefer the sibling then it can only hurt your relationship.
I believe we have a different relationship with each child as each child has a different personality. My 1st child is very easy-going and laid back and my 2nd is VERY sensitive both are boys and both are very bright.
I have an easier time with the oldest but I do not love the younger any less, he just gets on my nerves a LOT faster at times!

of course a mother can be blamed for loving and preferring one child over another... its called Child Abuse... if this is happening.. Mommy needs to get her sh.it together and get with the program... if she doesn't start treating her children equally... over time the neglected child will feel unwanted and may even hate his mother or even the other child...... mommy needs a reality check... if she didn't want that 2nd child or whatever the case... she should have never opened up her legs.... like the old saying goes... "You Pay to have fun" :D and fun time is over...

Its OK to love a child differently, for different things, but always equally. You would not get you son and daughter a truck for Christmas, and that is OK, but you can't spend $20 on one child and $200 on the other. So, IMO loving and preferring one child over the other is wrong.

Yes, all children of a mother can't be equal. Mother loves more to one who is physically of mentally weak.

I hate to admit that this is natural for a lot of parents, but you should never, ever show it or let it be known.
You just need to work harder at loving and connecting with the other children.
Easier said than done, I know.

you should not be able to love one child more than another it really should be imposibble. You can love your children individualy for their different strengths, but your not a very good mother if this is what you find your feeling .Take a look at yourself maybe you shouldnt have had more the one child.????
