I completely understand - I've been dealing with my thick hair all my life. What I finally figured out was that it settles down the most by avoiding moisture, not only in the air but in shampoo and conditioners. Don't use moisturizing products, but "light" or "everyday use" for oily hair, even if yours isn't. The other thing that we have to do (that is the opposite of people with thin hair) is rinse with very warm water, not cool water. Thinning and layering also help.

Getting your hair razor-cut and layered is usually a good way to thin it out. If you talk to the person cutting your hair they should be able to give you advice. I know that I had a friend who went to get her hair cut in Chinatown because they were used to thinning out and layering really thick hair.

Oh child, women would KILL for thick hair! Embrace it!!!
But if you feel like you do want a little of the weight off, when you go get your hair cut - ask them to razor the ends, that makes your hair feel a little lighter...but you don't want to thin it!!! Girl you're lucky to have a nice thick head of hair.

See a good hair stylist. Let them know your intentions. A good stylist will have a thinning shears (a special type of scissors) that helps keep the desired length, but helps thinnen thick hair.

If you don't like your thick hair and don't really want to cut into it try a shampoo that will sleek your hair. There is a shampoo and conditioner that is called "Sleek Look" I've used it and it really works. They even have follow up products like a finishing balm, gel, hair spray, and more.

Most women WANT thicker hair!
The beauticians have those special scissors that can thin your hair. (They're probably called thinning shears or something)
Otherwise, maybe get a lot of layers cut into it.

You can have it thinned at a Beauty Salon or buy hair thinning scissors and thin your hair yourself.
