does age matter in a relationship? theres this boy that i like, he is 1 year older than me but i'm in a higher school grade than him. is that a problem?

(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

You'll know when they ask you to marry them and you want to be the mother of his children and devote the rest of your life to making him happy, just like he will want to live every day to make you happy. I trust that you are nowhere near this point (hopefully you'll go on from "school grades" to college and then some time in your 20s or 30s you will then meet the right guy and know love when it hits you.
Until then, be smart -- don't let yourself get used by some guy you think you "love" and stay focused on how you want to be a strong girl with a great future!

One year is no problem unless one of you is legally an adult and the other isn't.
