well from my personal point of view.
whenever you are proposing someone, make sure u think about all the SIX senses of a girl.
i.e. when you propose make sure you keep all of her senses engaged.
- sight (make sure you choose a good location and a good gift)
- smell (wear a good cologne, roses which smell great)
- sound (music, nature's sound like sea, waterfall)
- taste (yes, champagne, ice creams, choclates, )
- touch (when u do that, make sure you make it more intimate and hand in hand works)
and yes, the sixth one
Yes, she will know it before you do it. so just keep this thing in mind.

There are many ways for 2 beings to express the I love you will you marry me scenario.... here are a couple things that I have seen and heard about... One guy coming home from being away for like 2 months was suprising her by showing up on her front door step! He had her on a cell phone and while they were talking he had the local news crew with him recording the whole thing.. when he got to the door she heard her doorbell ring and so she answered the door and he was there on one knee asking her to marry him and she dropped the phone and leaped into his arms and said yes.... another one was this couple that were at a fancy dinner and he didn't want the tridition of will you marry me in a resturant so what he did is he waited till the next day when she was at work went into her office and before he went into her area he was asking everyone to follow him becuase he was going to ask her the question well she nocited everyone standing outside and as soon as she opened the door he took her in his arms kissed her passionatly and then got down on one knee and said you know I wanted to do this last night but there wasn't enough people and she just was nodding yes and crying and happy... Another way that is Love is take her out to a wonderful day i mean the park a movie a fancy dinner the massage spa whatever she is into and do it with her! But first hint ask her father first just because if you do she'll think you are more commited then she ever thought that does wonders! Then later that night tell her there is something that you've been dying to tell her (earlier that morning order like a dozen of her favorite flowers) when she goes to get those take one rose and tell her you'll be right back grab the ring and a poem or a song she likes and put the ring in the rose and try to close it back up just gently push the petals back together then walk over to her take her in your arms with the rose in hand and dance with her to that song or read her the poem and then give her the rose and ask if there is something special about the rose ... she'll look at you funny but let her find it or give it to her in order to find it before the song is finished or you done with the poem. I'm a hopeless romantic and when I finally meet the woman I want to marry it will be either on a moonlit beach, on one knee, or after a meal I've cooked, again on one knee. Poetry is something I write a lot so the question would more than likely be in a verse....

Down on one knee, with a ring, and the reasons you love her and want to spend the rest of your life with her. It won't matter where you ask her because she will always remember when and how you did it. If you plan anything out of the ordinary she will get a suspicion and know what you are up to. So keep it simple like after a meal or after a movie date or when you come home from work or on a vacation.

Ok buddy here is what you do. You buy a space helmet and where it to her home. WEAR NOTHING BUT THE HELMET!!! Then When she sees you give her the whole. "Take me to the moon" line. When she is " Riding the Rocket" tell her how she is just as good as your other girlfriend. IF she finishes the ride then you know its true love and right afterwards you ask her while cuddling. If she leave you on the spot... Well then she should be back in 9 monthes wanting you to support her in one way or another.

I couldn't pick a better way that how my fiancé proposed to me.
A stroll on the beach, walking hand-in-hand, talking about nothing in particular. I stepped ahead of him a little ways to take a picture of some seagulls sitting in the sand. I turned to show him the picture on the digital camera, and discovered him on one knee with the ring in hand.
Beautiful location. Beautiful proposal. Total surprise.
Couldn't have asked for more.

My fiance sent me on a wild goose chase. I drove over 300 miles in two 12 hr days. He sent me on a scavenger hunt looking for billboard signs that i had to take a letter out of a word on and then I had to unscramble all the words which of course ended up being "will you marry me?" it was fun but then again gas was cheaper back then. :-P

I know a girl whose fiance' took her into a jewlery store one day while they were shopping at the mall, let her walk around and waited for her to find something she really liked, then took the ring and proposed to her right there in the store, in front of everyone. I thought that was really cool and pretty original.

Tell her that your arm is hurting and you want her to take a look at it. When she raises your shirt sleeve, there's the ring and the little "will u marry me" note. Kinda of corney but I think it's pretty good. Put it on her favorite local radio station and make sure she's listening. Good Luck!!

Ask her while she is taking a crap... I know it's sounds gross but it tells her you love her ALL the time and I think it's romantic plus what a good story how many people can say that?
